Compared to the previous R-Kiss it’s more advanced and caters to even bigger cloud chasing with little features like the Bypass Mode if you want to go straight to 200W and the type-C charging for an even faster battery boost. The Smok R-Kiss is a small, light device that fits nicely in hand with an anti-slip grip for ultimate safety. Considering the amount of e-liquid you go through at a higher wattage, Smok might have been better creating a 21700 version if it was possible with this mod.

The TFV uses two new coils, the Mini A2 V1 is a large bore coil with a mesh coil, that delivers fast heating and great taste. Like another reviewer on this product, I bought this kit to replace my Smok Alien that finally died for good after 5 years of ownership. Instead, you have two power settings and one to lock the device, creating a straightforward process for a new vaper or someone stepping up from a closed system pod kit. watts banging through a coil rated for 60-80 watts is a recipe for not only a dry hit, but is also a coil killer. I personally found the R-Kiss 2 mod a delight to use as I suffer from arthritis, and the screen and font size are great and very easy to read. I’m not going to list ‘boring’ as a con as that is purely subjective, just as some will be reaching for a sick-bucket looking at my other Smoks.TFT colour screen and includes all the info you would normally expect to see; the fonts are easily large enough to be read at a glance! The tank is really finished nicely with a pretty much perfect match to the body colour which is something Smok have struggled with previously.

It doesn’t leak at all like my Smok pen, has different modes and definitely had a big wattage on it suiting those starting out to those more experienced. The size and weight are fabulous and while personally I’m not a big fan of Smok tanks (too thirsty) you can’t argue with the results of the TFV18 mini, this is a well-designed kit that has a great quality to it! You can get a large amount of vapour from this tank but it does make a loud noise when you vape, especially with the airflow wide open. The battery door has almost no wobble and has clear battery orientation markings in white as well as internal red on white markings.

The new R-Kiss 2 also features bypass whereas the original was aimed more at the back to basics cloud chaser via Sub-Ohm vaping. I own many Smok kits and this is the only one that doesn’t quite look or feel like a Smok kit to me. Prior to this tank, Smok’s coils were a nightmare lottery, some didn’t even last a day and others would last 10 days if you were lucky, but the S1 lasts me a good threeweeks of full flavour and no dry hits.

Despite its size, the mod can reach 200Ws with a simple press on the fire key located on the side of the kit.
