About this deal

Swan air fryers feature Cyclonic Vortex air technology; this helps the air to circulate in a way that perfectly cooks food at any temperature, improving flavor and texture. And with practically no preheat time, you can save time and energy on busy nights as well as preserve nutrients in your food. Tower above the rest, with Swan air fryers providing tasty results using just air! Nobody will ever guess you’re air-frying – they’ll just love that crunchy taste!

The basket and cooking area is small but plenty big enough for 2 people. There is a bigger 5.5l model for larger families. I have been using Frylight instead of oil for things that need it, such as homemade chips and mini roast potatoes and found I don’t need to coat as much as I would in my oven. As previously stated, getting an air fryer for your family is based on the size of your family, the size of the kitchen space available to use the fryer and most importantly, the amount of money available. Easy to use and easy to clean. Our air fryers come with removable crisping plates and baskets so you can simply remove them and pop them in the dishwasher. And with little or no oil to dispose of, they’ll be no fighting over whose turn it is to do the dishes! Note that only air frying is available here; there are no roast, dehydrate and other modes available with rival air fryers from Ninja, for example. With temperature selectable between 40ºC and 200ºC, you also don’t get the highest crisping temperatures available elsewhere. At first, I started simple with frozen chips and escalated to the dizzying heights of pork steaks and roasted mini potatoes! I know, chef extraordinaire over here!

To be honest, it’s far easier to use the control dial on the front of the Mis Smart Fryer, which lets you select the same standard cooking programmes as the app (advanced recipes aren’t available, however). Plus, there’s a manual mode, where you just set the temperature and cooking time for yourself. Since this is a Xiaomi product, it’s a smart air fryer. It connects to your home network via Wi-Fi, where it’s controllable via the Xiaomi Home app. From the app, you can select the type of food you want to cook (chips, steak, fish, and so on) and the quantity (half a drawer, or full capacity). The suggested cooking time and temperatures are selected automatically. You can even schedule your air fryer to complete cooking its contents at a specific time. Most air fryers require you to shake your food during the cooking process to make sure the food is evenly cooked, and to help know when to do this, the Cosori features a shake alarm. This will sound halfway through the cooking time, but it’s not switched on automatically, so you will need to select it from the touchscreen menu. So, it’s not just about the size of the fryer, but the size of the family and their eating habits and needs. But before we get to the size of your family and how that affects what would be a good buy for you with regards to an air fryer, let’s first talk about the sizes of air fryers that are available. I started by cooking chips at 200ºC. I used a full drawer and the chips programme, which handily pauses partway through with a reminder to shake the contents of the drawer. At the end cooking time, the chips were cooked through, displaying a uniform colour. The Cosori did an excellent job of cooking sausages and vegetarian sausages, all of which had a lovely crisp finish without the insides being overcooked. We also tried sweet potatoes using the recipe book’s suggestion - these were cooked through, but they could have done with an extra 10 minutes to give them a nice crispy coating. We tested the Cosori CP317 with a variety of foods, making use of the preset buttons as well as setting customized timings and temperatures. We tried frozen fries first and used the preheat function, which took five minutes, before placing 1.1lb / 500g of frozen fries into the frying basket. While this isn’t the biggest air fryer on the market, it coped well with this fairly generous portion of fries, with the basked not appearing to be overfilled. I left it to run for the first part of the 25-minute preset function and then removed the basket. The pork steaks were cooked perfectly as were the potatoes. This was good to see as I turned the steaks over; I managed to lose some potatoes underneath. It didn’t affect how they cooked at all. COOK HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS MEALS: Whether exploring new recipes or cooking up the family favourite, thanks to rapid air convection technology, you will only need a fraction of the oil compared to conventional cooking methods.

By now you’ve probably heard about the air-frying craze and know a few home cooks who swear by their fryer. But did you know air fryers are highly versatile? They can be used for so many more recipes than just making oilless versions of french fries and potato chips—although those are good, too. Since an air fryer works a lot like a convection oven (there’s a heat source and a fan to distribute that heat), you can basically cook anything in an air fryer that you’d put in the oven–as long as it fits, that is. Think caramelized brussels sprouts, delicate kale chips, crisp bacon, light and fluffy doughnuts, and juicy meatballs. Chances are, the air fryer will cook your food faster and use less electricity than a standard oven. Get ready to cook up a storm in the kitchen, without fuss or mess. With little or no oil required, you can now cook with confidence while retaining that delicious taste you crave. All with zero guilt. Next, I turned to sausages, covering them with a light mist of spray oil. I cooked them at 180ºC, reducing the suggested oven cooking time by 20%. At the end of the cooking time, my sausages were evenly cooked throughout, but the skin didn’t have the level of crispiness displayed by sausages cooked in the best air fryers. One of the biggest benefits of air frying is that you don’t need to use lots of oil, and we also made a batch of homemade fries using 1 tbsp/ 15ml of olive oil, following the recipe book’s recommended cooking duration and temperature. After 18 minutes the fries were cooked, but some had burned a little on the ends. When we tasted the fries, and while few were crunchy and tasted overdone, others were soft. We made sure to shake the fries halfway through the cooking process, so it was a little disappointing to find they weren’t very evenly cooked.

Russell Hobbs is excited to offer a stylish, easy-to-use range of air fryers to suit every level of cook. Little or no oil After the demise of my beloved halogen oven, the Cosori Air Fryer looked like a worthy replacement. But would it live up to the hype? I have heard many a good thing about air fryers in general, my mum and one of my sisters have them so it made sense that I would want to try too! The Cosori Air Fryer A Russell Hobbs air fryer can save you up to as much as 68% energy* compared to a conventional oven. So not only can you save money on eating in, but it can also help reduce your energy bills.

The 16.0 quarts sized fryers are the largest of them all and are tailor-made for bulk cooking. So if you have a large family gathering coming up, this might be your fryer of choice. How Big of an Air Fryer do I need with limited Kitchen Space? It has a 3.7-quart/ 3.5-liter capacity which in turn means the overall machine is smaller than other popular choices including the Instant Vortex Plus air fryer. It measures 31 cm in length, 27 cm wide, and is 27 high, meaning it’s not as tall as many other air fryers at 31cm, so it should fit on your countertop beneath cabinets. The 2-in-1 tank & basket allows for maximum capacity with a small footprint, saving space on your worktop and in your cupboard Category two: These are the medium-sized air fryers, and they are well suited to be used to serve between 2-5 people. Alongside serving a diverse range of cooking needs, they can probably be used to serve a maximum of 6 people, but that depends on the model you’re getting. They range between 3.0- 5.0 quarts.
