Bernard had a sporadic film and television career, appearing for one season of General Hospital in the late 1960s and in small parts in series television. In most of her work, she was credited as Sue Bernard. Bernard appeared in Playboy magazine as its Playmate of the Month in December 1966. Playboy later named Bernard one of the 100 most beautiful women of the century. She was the founder of Bernard of Hollywood Publishing and authored seven books, which were translated into dozens of languages, including Bernard of Hollywood’s Ultimate Pin Up Book and Marilyn: Intimate Exposures. In 2011, she entered into a partnership with Authentic Brands Group, which acquired the estates of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and Muhammad Ali, among others.
