A wedge or squeeze of lime is a must when it comes to tequila, and this liquor has a plethora of mixers, including club soda, seltzer, grapefruit juice, coconut water, and other sodas, including ginger, coke, and lemon-lime. Using 100% naturally perfect ingredients — agave, water and yeast — Patrón El Alto is naturally smooth and sweet with subtle notes of figs, honey, caramel, dried fruit and vanilla. The sweet, dried fruit notes of Patrón El Alto are a result of having been expertly aged in 11 types of barrels, mostly hybrid barrels of American oak body and French oak heads. Made by hand, in a painstaking process that’s been used since the brand’s inception, the majority of Patrón El Alto Tequila is created using the traditional Tahona production process. A method that requires meticulous precision and time, a two-ton volcanic stone is used for crushing the baked agave which creates a tequila with the natural sweetness and flavours of the earth. Patrón is the leading producer of Tahona-based tequila in the world, demonstrating its commitment to a time-honoured process, further exemplified by Patrón El Alto. I’m J Highland, and for over 30 years, I’ve been deeply immersed in the captivating world of Tequila, Mezcal, and other agave spirits.

Flavour: Sweet and soft on the palate with rich, smooth notes of stone fruit and a refreshingly bright finish. PATRÓN is made from only the finest, highest-quality Weber Blue Agave, which gives it its characteristic smoothness and layers of flavor. The agave is stripped to reveal the heart of the plant, the ‘piña’, which is then hand-chopped, baked and crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone Tahona wheel and a roller mill. The resulting mixture is fermented for three days, distilled and, in some cases, aged in handmade barrels. Two months at minimum for PATRÓN Reposado, over 12 months for PATRÓN Añejo, and at least three years for PATRÓN Extra Añejo.
