About this deal

After long or stressful workdays, he found solace in unfolding his narratives, a therapeutic endeavor that helped him unwind and relax. I am both looking forward to the future books but at the same time and begrudge to have to listen to her more. This sequel follows two main characters: Zerina, a young woman who is on the run for possessing illegal magical abilities, and Ulrik, a sailor who must protect his young sister, Esara, after their mother is murdered for her magical powers. A horse that 'bucks' twice in fifty pages without unseating its novice rider, and eats nothing but apples.

His ultimate hope is that readers grappling with similar issues may find solace in his stories, realizing that they're not alone, that it's okay to feel the way they do, and that it's important to open up and share.

When there was action it was good, and I am thankful that there wasn’t a ton of filler, but I also kinda of missed a little more exposition and settling into the story. Overall, this is a fairly short book but spans so much time and distance that the proper detail is not given.

The characters on the horse, two of which are soaking wet, don't notice that they're soaking wet until after they 'stop to rest the horse' and have a conversation where they politely introduce themselves to each other. It took me right out of the story when you have Arron doing one voice and then Michela doing a completely different voice for the same character, not even vaguely similar. The prose seems to have become less dreadful and character conversations seem more like actual people talking rather than a bunch of action heroes shouting witty one liners.P Beswick went full time as an author, he looks forward to sharing more of his enchanting tales with his readers. In this book you meet 3 characters, a soldier Ulrik who comes back from working on one of the Kings merchant boats to find his mother and his younger sister Esara missing. The story will continue in the next book and we'll learn more about other characters mentioned here in this book and I can't wait.

While the story is a new one, the world is the same and this familiarity provides a comfortable awareness to what goes on and what to expect. Even though I enjoyed this book, I wish that there was more development of the slow burn, but that is just me! Apart from the main cast there were some notable side characters but unfortunately most of the side characters felt like replaceable cannon fodder without distinct personalities. I loved the all the characters in this story and the attention to detail had me feeling like I was actually watching the events unfold. My major complaint with the first was there were too many almost identical fight scenes, but this book was much better paced with the fighting and the enemies. Loved that is related to the first book even though it was a very different story and even had an overlapping character.

That he then rides without pause to the capital, and then within an hour (I'm estimating) rides out of the capital with two additional people on it, to escape pursuit. Although the book offers excellent world building and interesting characters, the story lacks excitement and seems to drag on, with only a few captivating action scenes. Right, positivos - the three leads, Zerina, Ulrik and Esara, carried my interest from start to finish.I can tell you everything you want to know about Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan, but I can't even name a secondary character from movies 4 or 5. I cannot wait for the next book in the Levanthria series, and I am intrigued to see if/ when we may see reappearances of characters from previous books. No backstory for any character so I couldn't really get a picture of what motivated them, what drove them on their quest. Adding to that the plot kept me reading and the fantasy scenes (cough - skeletons, sea creatures etc) carried their share of clarity which is a big plus for me.
