Please note: If using the Rugbuddy on a tiled or screeded floor, we recommend using carpet underlay underneath for thermal efficiency. This can also be bought at any carpet or flooring supplier. Jute, felt and foam underlays are most suited for this purpose. There are two options for safely heating vinyl or Karndean floors and these both involve covering the heating element with screed or levelling compound to help spread the heat evenly across the floor.
