About this deal

Statistics for “daughter of Zion” tell much the same story. In 2 Kings 19:21 “daughter of Zion” is paralleled by “daughter of Jerusalem,” showing their essential equivalence; the statement is made by Isaiah, who uses the phrase six times in the Book of Isaiah. Jeremiah uses “daughter of Zion” eleven times in the Books of Jeremiah and Lamentations. Micah, Zephaniah and Zechariah also use the expression. In this case, it becomes clearer who the text is referring to: the green wood is Jesus - one who is not by nature ready for the fires of judgment. Yet the Jews crucified him. The dry wood, then, is the Jews who have done these things, who are themselves sinners who are ready for and deserving of the fires of judgment.

Daughters of Jerusalem (Listen, Calling for You) - Hymn Daughters of Jerusalem (Listen, Calling for You) - Hymn

The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee. (King James Version) Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'" I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the hinds of the field, That you do not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases.” A 'green' tree is a living tree. A 'dry' tree is a dead tree. It goes without saying which of the two is easier to burn. The only problem is, the only verse I had trouble with sounds different from this one and all other lyrics I've foundIn “What is the Meaning of Zion in the Bible?” we learn that Zion is also “the dwelling place of God.” Zion is described as a fortress, a holy mountain, “the place where the Lord is ‘enthroned’ [...] and from which David yearns for salvation to emerge.” Isaiah 18:7 describes Zion as “the place of the Name of the Lord Almighty.” In the same book, we learn that “those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy.” ( Isaiah 4:3). In less than a generation, Jerusalem was deforested and set to the torch, the temple buildings leveled so “not one stone is left standing upon another,” and the populace enslaved or slaughtered. The siege of Jerusalem and the aftermath was a terrible time for mothers and their babies. Women with no dead child to mourn were indeed blest, just as Jesus said.

Solomon 2:7 O daughters of Jerusalem, I adjure you by Song of Solomon 2:7 O daughters of Jerusalem, I adjure you by

I have adjured you, daughters of Jerusalem, How ye stir up, And how ye wake the love till she please!

Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD. Young women of Jerusalem, I charge you: do not stir up or awaken love until the appropriate time. Y In “ Is There Intended Allegory in the Song of Solomon?,” Jim Hamilton explains that “Yahweh married Israel at Sinai.” The “covenant between Yahweh and Israel” is described elsewhere “as though it is a marriage.” The Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem) is the fruit of that union; the heart of Israel. Perhaps, muhammad copied this name from song of solomon. So he says that this song of solomon5:16 is not talking about Prophet Muhammad.
