The new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available in silver and space grey finishes with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations. iPadOS 16, the powerful operating system designed specifically for iPad, will be available beginning Monday, October 24, and ships for free with the new iPad Pro. iPadOS 16 will be available as a free software update for iPad (5th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), and all iPad Pro models.

Naturally, the 9th gen iPad had a Touch ID home button and used a Lightning port. Those are gone, and when the 9th gen iPad goes off sale they'll disappear from the iPad lineup for good. The displays have rounded corners. When measured diagonally as a rectangle, the iPad Pro 12.9‑inch screen is 12.9 inches and the iPad Pro 11‑inch screen is 11 inches. Actual viewable area is less.This isn’t going to give you photography similar to an iPhone, but instead it’s good enough for the odd task such as video streaming, taking photos for an app on your tablet or the odd shot whenever you’ve got your slate nearby. Apple also increased the brightness to 500 nits, which was noticeable when we compared this iPad to last year’s version. You may not realize it without comparing the two side by side, but it’s a useful upgrade using an iPad outdoors in the daytime.
