About this deal

We recognize that not all guitar pedals run off 9V. That’s why all 1 SPOT Pro models have outputs that can put out 9Vdc, 12Vdc or 18Vdc. The CS12 even has a variable voltage output for old-style fuzz pedals, and a 9Vac output for certain Line6 and Digitech pedals. And if you need to change the voltage of an output, Truetone also makes inexpensive converter cables to help you. There’s the Voltage Doubler, which does exactly what its name says, and the 18V to 9V Converter... which also does what its name says. They don’t have the most clever names, but they get the job done! Since pioneering the first switching power supply for musicians, the original 1 SPOT, we’ve gained many years of experience in creating very low noise power for pedals. When we started designing the 1 SPOT Pro, the first multiple output switching power supply, we worried a lot about how to eliminate noise completely. Isolation is part of the solution to noise elimination, but not all of it. Each output is galvanically isolated from the other to help give you pure, clean, noise-free operation of your pedals. However, we also provided an additional layer of pure analog regulation, taking advantage of the greater ability of analog circuits to provide the highest possible suppression of in-band audio noise. There is an artistry involved in these designs, and it’s come at the price of decades of hard work. But all of this put together is what we call Pure Isolation. Specifications: Radial Tonebone 15Vdc pedals can be powered by a 18Vdc output, using the Reverse Polarity Converter (CYR) included with the 1 SPOT Pro.

With optional converter plugs, the 1 SPOT will work with virtually ANY 9V pedal! …even Line 6 modeling pedals! **

Just like its bigger brothers in the 1 SPOT Pro line, the CS6 has a variety of DC voltages available to power just about any pedal on the market. Each output is completely isolated, regulated and filtered, eliminating crosstalk and noise. With no big transformer to hinder their performance, proximity noise is not an issue with any 1 SPOT Pro. Overdrives or fuzzes that sound/feel better at lower voltage should utilize output 7. Set the dip switch to the “on” position, and adjust the mini-pot on the face of the unit to the desired voltage, anywhere from 4-9Vdc.

Digitech Whammy: Versions 1-4 cannot be powered by the 1 SPOT Pro CS6. Version 5 or Whammy DT may be powered by outputs 1 or 2. The overheated and damaged tubes can lead to sound issues, so just inspect the amp for such tube issues and replace the damaged ones. On the other hand, if the amp seems overheated, you only need to let it rest to ensure it achieves room temperature. Please note this used to be known as the Visual Sound 1 Spot- the company has now changed its name to Truetone!) The low-profile design of the 1 SPOT Pro CS6 allows it to be mounted under flat pedalboards like the Pedaltrain® Nano and Metro series. However, the compact design is also perfect for mounting on top of pedalboards, serving the dual role of a power supply and pedal riser. The 1 SPOT is the original 9V pedalboard power supply that only takes up one spot on an outlet strip or wall outlet. It solves an annoying problem that people have complained about for years, and does so with quiet, reliable performance!Line 6 M9 may be powered by outputs 10-11, but will also require the CL6 converter. The M9 can also be powered directly by the 9Vac of output 12. The Truetone 1 SPOT is guaranteed to work with any equipment that uses one of the following adapters (over 90% of the effects pedals on the market!): Boss PSA, Boss ACA, Danelectro DA-1, DOD PS-200R, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC-109, Korg A30950, Morley 9V, Zoom AD-0006. With new converter plugs, the 1 SPOT will work with virtually ANY 9V pedal! ...even Line 6 modeling pedals. Will even convert international voltage (100V-240V) automatically; no transformer needed! 3 meter (10') cable is almost twice as long as other adapter cables.

It is important for you to know the power requirements for your pedal. For every pedal that you are going to power via the 1 SPOT Pro CS6, you need to know the following: When you connect your audio gear with the power supply, and it starts creating screeching sounds, you should try to run everything on batteries if you don’t have time for a full repair. When you can afford a repair, the only thing you’ve to do is to shift to a 9V adapter. For pedals with high milliamp draws such as Strymon, please utilize outputs 1 or 2 that produce 500mA each. If you’re a touring musician, or even if you just play at the local pub regularly, you know how important it is to have road-worthy gear. No worries with the 1 SPOT Pro. The housing is all steel, with cleverly designed vents that should keep out the accidental beer spill, should that ever happen. And the CS6 is completely sealed for extra protection.
