About this deal

On the subject of weight I set about adding some weight up front and down low with Fastrax portal covers. When the going gets tough, use your transmitter to shift into low range for incredible 4-wheel drive pulling torque. Shift into high range for blasting down the trail. The plush suspension design absorbs rough terrain with ease and delivers outstanding scale appearance. Unmatched versatility makes the TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler adaptable to just about any situation or driving style. I've got some SSD steelies on the way for my TRX4 which will clear the weights on my rig too. Theres a reason I didn't call it a Bronco though as it's going to be undergoing a conversion tomorrow hopefully. As much as I was really pleased with the paint job on the Bronco and the slight performance gains running a lighter body, something about the look of the Bronco just wasn't doing it for me ?.

Yes. The Traxxas TRX4 is fully waterproof including the electronics inside. So, you can take the TRX-4 in any terrain anytime without any hesitation. What Scale is The Traxxas Trx4? To ensure efficient delivery, we work with trusted carriers: DPD Local for next working day delivery and Royal Mail for the 2 working days option. Although both the TRX4's have been gathering dust of late while I spend all my spare time decorating the new house I have been doing some tinkering in the evenings with both of our defenders ? Despite my best patient efforts they sheered on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th wheel!!!!! I think they were over tightened at the factory and so when I went to reinstall them they were already weak and just gave way. Removing all the screws I had already installed to remove the sheered one was beyond frustrating and then trying to get the sheered end out with pliers nearly made me give up all together! The innovative clipless body removes and installs in just seconds with no clips to lose or frustrating hook and loop tabs. Tough, highly detailed ABS bodies feature molded-in color with a deep glossy finish that won’t chip or scrape off.

All in all it was an absolute blast and I don't think there's a model out there that is so well suited for a trail run in mine and the boys opinion. Of course we still have plans for further mods and the main points of focus will be some forward weight on the Defender in the form of brass portal covers and such. With the Bronco it'll be weight low down on all four corners and a smaller battery to mount up front as this is an option out the box ?? TRX-4M performs like a full-size crawler because it’s built like one. A rigid steel ladder frame virtually eliminates flex to put more power to the ground. The steel frame rails are taller through the middle section for increased strength where it’s needed most. The freshly customised TRX4's got their maiden run yesterday afternoon and just to top it off the weather was gorgeous too ? We headed to Stanmer Park which has been a regular spot for us since we got into RC's but this was the first time taking crawlers there.

The Bronco officially became a Defender at the weekend and I'm already convinced I made the right choice converting it over ?? The size of the Bronco body just didn't look right to my eyes and the defender looks much more scale. TRX-4M rides on a sophisticated four-link suspension with heavy-duty linkages. Spool-equipped solid axles supply non-stop climbing power to all four wheels with excellent articulation to climb over the toughest obstacles. Heavy-duty telescoping center driveshafts send the motor’s torque to the axles with a smooth-running CV design. The TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler is equipped right out of the box with Traxxas game-changing portal axle set. They look much better and much closer to proper Land Rover wheels. Not quite as heavy as the aluminium wheels but with the added weight of the portal covers the trade off was definitely worth it. I might try a set of Louise RC Champs on the boys rig when we take them out properly next weekend as i was so impressed with them when testing the Carisma. Just hope the foams will be able to take the weight of his rig, as the extra height might help get his approach angle nearer to where they we're before we added a winch to his bumper.

Been awhile since I updated the thread so here's what we have been up to with our TRX4s over the last few weeks.

The design of the device is ergonomic. So it will feel comfortable even if you are using it for a long time. The layout of the device is very user-friendly. So you will get familiar with the TQi 2.4 GHz 4-Channel Transmitter after using it a couple of times. Performance Turning

The powerful 87-turn Titan 180 motor delivers precise low-speed torque to propel the TRX-4M up and over technical obstacles. On the trail, the TRX-4M offers surprising speed to keep pace as you walk alongside to find the next challenge. Here's a couple of pictures just to prove it did have a shell and show how good the condition is... The jury is still out on whether it gets hung up more than before but they we're cheap enough for me to give them a go and make my mind up after a few more runs. They do look nice in flex pictures too ? Seen as the boy pinched the Defender and its now looking awesome, its fair to say dad was getting a bit jealous! So when an immaculate TRX4 Bronco came up for sale on facebook I couldn't resist ? In my defence it was incredibly well priced and included loads of wheels and tyres which I can sell to recoup some funds too ?? That covers all the tinkering that's been happening and what's to come! They have actually been used over the last few weeks too though as we attended another LSTR meet which was in an old Quarry near Dorking. Fantastic location and as it was a fun day rather than a comp meet the course setup was a 100 gate affair which was top notch! Was having so much fun we only took two pictures which says it all.
