As I’ve mentioned, the basic Hearthkyn Warriors kit has plenty of options already. Together with the new upgrade sprue, you can choose between very many different types of operatives. (11 in total). For whatever reason, however, even in Kill Team you cannot give regular Hearthkyn Warriors pistols and melee weapons, even though the kit is full of them. Yeah. What Kill Teams Does The Kill Team Annual 2023 Contain?

This set contains 20 miniatures – 10 all-new beastly gentlemen of the Fellgor Ravagers, and 10 Hearthkyn with a generous upgrade sprue to make all sorts of deadly specialists. The Kill Team Annual 2023 is the culmination of the last years worth of Kill Team products. The previous Kill Team Annual 2022, collected all the articles that had been published in White Dwarf, but there haven't been many of those this season of Kill Team, so this annual collects all of the content from the published products in the Gallowdark season. Dwarves honor the debts of their honoured dead as well as those debts incurred against them, and apply Grudge tokens to their enemies in battle. When an opposing operative has a grudge token, all friendly operatives can change a normal hit to a critical hit for each Grudge token! In addition to this baseline grudge generation, ploys and leader abilities interact with Grudges as well. Slow and Steady is the way Kill Team Gallowfall is a pleasing – if somewhat safe and unoriginal – new chapter in the ongoing Kill Team saga. It ascribes to the tried-and-tested formula of Kill Team releases we’ve seen over the past year, with one team of brand-new models and another of existing models partnered with an original upgrade sprue. Happily, the new Chaos Beastmen models are superb, and the new Leagues of Votann miniatures still look great – all the better for their fun upgrade sprue.

Even though many of the Stasis Pods found in ships that make up a hulk’s patchwork construction have malfunctioned over time, there’s still valuable information and goods to be found for anyone with a strong enough stomach to go prospecting among the Ageing Remains of these unfortunate souls. In spite of the vast amount of info in this book, everything is very well-indexed and formatted. It’s an easy book to navigate and not so unwieldy as to be a burned during an actual game. Of course, this book isnt going to teach you how to play Kill Team – you’ll need a copy of the Core Rules for that. It’s in a standard layout, with lore, setting, and guidance on naming the members of your Kill Team towards the front, and then onwards to the rules and setup for this particular box. Kill Team: Gallowfall is a dependable albeit very predictable release. Following in the formulaic footsteps of its predecessors, there’s not much in here that’s surprising or sparkles at surface level. The walls are the same, the board is the same, the book is pretty much the same sorta thing as we’ve seen previously, and even the way the teams are designed now ascribes to a pattern. There’s also a change to Critical Operations Missions which increases the Victory Point cap on the mission objective to 16.
