About this deal

The only way we could get her to sleep was to swaddle her, something my husband wasn’t great at, and we were unsure about due to the heatwave when she was born. The only time we haven’t used it was during the really hot spell when he was sleeping in just a vest with a thin muslin covering him.

I didn't like the fact that the zip started just underneath baby's chin, it was a very snug fit and it made me feel nervous that it would be too tight around her neck especially after wriggling in the night. Grobags can be used from a certain weight so there is an overlap of use baby weight-wise, apart from this there isn’t anything else I would change. I knew we had to find a solution and something safer than just placing him with a blanket over him instead (where he could get the blanket over his mouth/face etc by accident) and when I went to purchase sleeping bags for him instead believing that would be the safe answer – I was surprised to see that really there was none on the market suitable generally.

The main struggle for me were the poppers, I feel like if these were zips they would make it a lot easier for putting the baby in and keeping arms inside. We had expected a big baby so had bought gro bags ready for her, obviously that wasn’t happening yet.

Poppers on the armholes allow for swaddling with arms in or choose arms out for the freedom of a newborn Grobag. I also love how my baby's arms can be tucked in or out and the zip all the way down makes midnight nappy changes super quick and easy. It acted as a sleep cue and helped my baby sleep in different environments for example when we went on holiday. I slept well too, safe in the knowledge she would stay at the same temperature as unable to kick off her blanket which she had done at times before. The revolutionary 2-in-1 Swaddle and Newborn Grobag is the only bedding you will need for your newborn. If you have any concerns about your own health or the health of your child, you should always consult with a doctor or other healthcare professional. Made from soft and stretchy cotton, the Grosnug is available in two different weights - light (for rooms 21-25 degrees Celsius) and cosy (for rooms 16-20 degrees Celsius). Made from super soft and stretchy cotton, the Grosnug allows you to wrap your baby up all snug for a great night's sleep. Once an item is removed from the packaging, the item must be handled through the manufacturer, according to federal law. Due to my baby having reflux and often being sick during the night, the bag has been washed several times and the material has maintained its good quality (no fading or bobbling) and it dries very quickly.

The guidelines it comes with also help you to have a full understanding of choosing the right version based on how hot the bedroom is, which is really helpful to first-time parents or if you are out of practice. Now 2 months old, she is getting close to the maximum weight for the Grosnug, so we have now moved onto the traditional Gro Bag. Seller has stated it will dispatch the item within 1 working day upon receipt of cleared payment - opens in a new window or tab . The Grosnug has a large zip that runs from top to bottom and it really was a case of popping her in and zipping her up. With the Gro Snug there is also the option to make the arm holes tighter with additional poppers, a feature we used for the first couple of weeks to ensure that it was a snug fit on our little boy.G is approaching 10lbs and as he now seems to be growing at a rapid pace he will probably have outgrown his in a couple of weeks. Being a huge fan of the Gro Company products, with already purchasing the Gro-Clock for our toddler to help with early morning waking and bedtime wind-down and Gro-Light for when my step-sons visit and for their room to be semi-lit during the night, I was overjoyed to see that they have thought of an answer to this very important area of a safe, reliable, secure sleeping bag/swaddle solution for newborns up to 12 lbs. Helen: I don’t know if this is possible but I would change this product by having a zip on a section at the bottom so that one item will last longer than the first couple of months so it could be extendable to last till the baby is six months old for example. The Gro Snug is designed to be wider on the bottom half so that baby has room to move their legs but is tighter across the chest. The zip doesn’t ever make contact with Neve’s face or body, with small zip protector flaps concealing them safely away from the skin.
