SWE or Unsafe depending on preference: Hero is a manwhore who has sex with multiple women and has the heroine send them home the next day. We don't get the hero's POV, so we don't really know when/if he stops. We just know that he doesn't do it in front of the heroine after the first 20% or so. Otherwise, it is never actually clarified. The heroine has only ever been with 2 men. Her b/f of 10 years, and a ONS. Bad sex with both. After the initial 20% of the book is over, there are CONSTANT reminders about the hero's sexual escapades, so while he may not be doing anything explicitly, it's frequently mentioned. There's a separation before the end and it's not clarified if there are other partners for the hero. Given his sexual past, I wouldn't be surprised. A couple of the reveals about Ben as well as one or two big gestures late in the book were over the top. Every one of the things Gemma saw as red flags about him turned out to have good explanations but some of those explanations were a little contrived. This was easy to forgive, though, because the book had many other strengths. Gahhh, Ben! MY HUSBAND!!!! I was already halfway in love with him from the glimpses we saw of him in the previous book, but Elizabeth O’Roark said “you haven’t even seen an ounce of what I did with him”. WHAT. A. MAN. Gemma stole my heart for sure, but Ben had me wanting to spread my legs (read: had me swooning). Once again, @God, when will it be my turn?

This also had enemies with benefits vibes which is usually not my favorite thing but I enjoyed it here. OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Not in the usual way The h carries a lot of baggage from her last relationship and her parent’s divorce and projects that on to her relationship with the H and gets jealous Could you even get a kilogram of cocaine?” he asks. “Is that something I should have been hitting you up for all along?” This can’t be a surprise to you. I’ve been in love with you for two years straight. You were the only reason I interviewed there in the first place." I can't seem to get enough of these Devils, and the fact that this one Devil in particular was not only British but charming af, definitely isn't helping with my newest obsession.A little fraternising with the enemy never hurt anybody . . . The Devils series is a sexy blend of spice, romance and grumpy men. Prepare to laugh, swoon and cry . . . perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and The Hating Game. b.) how secretly obsessed he was with her @ 1st sight. But couldn’t act on it due to her friend’s warning re: her current life situation. PS to readers: Each of the first three books in the series stands on its own pretty well. I was advised to start with book two or three and I’m happy I did (I might not have continued if I had started with the first), so I’m passing that advice to you. In case you're wondering - and I know you are -, the model's name is Álvaro Torralbo and his IG is very public) There’s nothing like a good old fashioned, snippy, bantery, enemies to lovers office romance to revive your zest for life.’

It was also the hottest book in the series as there were more than five scenes I believe, not like the second book which was a slow burn. Love is handing your fragile heart to someone else because you want him to have it, no matter what hell do in response. You do it because you love him more than you love yourself." Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Tali and Hayes' story. Tali is in a bad place from taking care of her family and when her friend offers her his job temporarily, she jumps on it even though she despises his boss. Hayes is plastic surgeon to the stars and too gorgeous for his own good. They butt heads, but after a while Tali starts seeing past the grumpy walls Hayes has erected around his heart from being hurt in the past. They end up as two people untrusting of the other sex but developing feelings all the same. There's some secrets revealed, some ex and family drama, and some sexy times...and they get a HFN ending. Gemma was burned once dating another lawyer at a firm where she worked, and her dad, also a lawyer, was a terrible husband and father. Her work life is stressful and the (male) partners who run the firm aren’t sensitive to a woman’s position in such an environment, to say the least. This book was so incredible, such an amazing reminder that women can be fierce, strong, cruel, brutal, speak their mind, fight for themselves, express their sexual desires and own every aspect of their lives without ever having to apologize for it. anyways, the devil series started off cute with talia and hayes ( A Deal with the Devil - he gave her 16 orgasms in 1 night... sus but okay), but then dr josh stepped into the scene in book 2 and stole my heart and my POOSAY too 🤰🏽( The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea), but ben and gemma? YOUR HONOR THEY STOLE MY LIFE!!! d.) how he made time for her to do things she liked to do without her knowing that he was doing it just to spend time with her. Gemma Charles, sharper than the Louboutin she weae at her feet, is thoughtful, deadly, insanely smart, beautiful, a woman who radiates power (in short, I realized I fell for a badass admirable woman.)

This book was entirely in Gemma's POV (minus the prologue), so I often had no idea what was going on in Ben's head. This really only bothered me towards the end because a lot was revealed all at once and it felt a little rushed/unexpected. I think had we seen any of Ben's POV, it wouldn't have felt that way. But obviously there is an allure to not knowing what he's thinking and learning more about him solely through Gemma.Tali has a lot going on in her life. She’s been single for a year, her father has been gone for about the same amount of time, and she seems like the only one in her family with it together. Oh, and she’s drowning in debt. When her bet friend Jonathan needs a replacement for him for 6 weeks as an assistant to the surgeon of the stars, Tali begrudgingly agrees. The money is too good to pass up. But what makes it worse? He claims that he loved her from the moment he saw her. Just no. This was SIX MONTHS before the start of the story. He didn't make a move, left her alone, and just pursued tons of OW. There was a lot to love about this book, and the banter was the main thing for me! Love a good banter give, banter take relationship! I also love a reforms playboy who falls hard and a sassy heroine who doesn’t take his shit and ask for more!! Natalia, or Talia, is taking over temporarily as Hayes’s assistant while her friend goes overseas to adopt a baby with his husband. Samantha Brentmoor brought this audiobook to life and my goodness she does a fantastic job on this solo project. Samantha is an incredibly talented woman and her performance as Gemma and Ben was phenomenal. I felt every emotion the characters went through and always know when I see Samantha’s name that a book is in good hands.
