About this deal

I should also add that we have still not gotten to put down and go, due to things getting in the way, illness mainly - she has nasty colds constantly! Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I would put him down following the usualy routine etc then leave the room, when he started crying I would wait a minute (tried to wait 3 mins usually) to see if he sounded like he might be settling (pauses in his crying etc), then if still crying I'd wait for a quiter moment, go back in, do some shhhing (he usually then cried more), I didnt stay long, each time I went out he would settle bit more and each time I went in I would stay closer to the door doing my shhing and usually I didn't have to go in many times. But last night we only had 2 wake ups (between 7:30 and 6) which I fed her for which is much better than the usual 2 hourly. Suddenly she refused to go to bed, crying for hours until she was inconsolable and completely exhausted (10pm) - would not stay in her cot through the night (climbing into our bed from 1am onwards every night).

My only criticism would be that she appears to assume a certain level of privilege in some areas but overall found it very helpful and appreciated some small mentions of multiples too. We had to sit beside her cot for up to an hour each night trying to get her to sleep and then she’d wake 3 or 4 times during the night. It actually worked really well and the feed wake has been getting later so any feeds after that have been fewer too! She sleeps from 7pm until 7am with one night wake at around 4:30-5am, but after a quick feed again I place her down in the crib drowsy and she falls back to sleep herself. Firstly as a first time mam not knowing what the heck I was doing, your book was so reassuring especially regarding sleep under 6 months. Not only are we delighted that we can get a full night sleep but I know it's more beneficial for him which is number one in our eyes.

I've been roughly following the nap schedule and that's really helping, although her morning nap is always her longest nap.Lucy Wolfe, a baby and child sleep expert, introduces the stay-and-support method for parents who want to help their babies sleep through the night. And she slept 7:30-12(fed) and 12:30 to 6 which is the longest she's gone without a feed, baby steps!
