Up until a good few years ago Forth 1 was also one of the stations I would listen to. As well as Forth 2 and Kingdom FM. At Forth One we have our very own fringe show – Forth on the Fringe – and we will be taking over the Edinburgh Playhouse for two nights on August 2nd and 3rd. Forth 1 and forth 2 studios look amazing with high spec equipment and light and airy with great views . DAB coverage of the "local" 2 stations is far more extensive than that covered by the local MW transmitters. This year we’ve got the likes of Ed Byrne, Jason Byrne, Stephen K. Amos and Craig Hill doing the comedy along with some other weird and wonderful acts who perform acrobatics, music and drama. Absolutely agree 😁. GHR is aimed at me but the constant repetition of the same songs does my head in.....Sweet Dreams/Eurthmics, Mr Blue Sky/ELO, Lost in music/Sister Sledge, Slegehammer/Peter Gabriel etc. etc. All brilliant 'bangin choonz, but FFS, how many great songs from the 70's, '80's and 90's don't get played......ever. Well at the moment they still can't put mayo on as they wouldn't meet the 10 hours from Scotland to meet the am requirements Blinder of a move in Scotland by Bauer. Sure you're local station isn't going to be quite as local as it was (and in reality it hasn't been for some time) but possibly the best known Scottish voice on the radio is coming over here mid morning from R2.......so you won't even notice or care that the show is UK wide. I agree at times Forth 1 seem to play the same songs 2 or 3 times a day and some music is now is not to my liking. ARLENE is on holiday this week so Boogie is joined by Lynne Hoggan, who hosts the Forth One weekend overnight show.
