About this deal

I have seen some suggesting to EQ the bass to be even more prominent but I’d advise against that since this CNT driver is already at its limit.

I found the Bl-03 to be reasonably easy to drive with a cellphone or tablet, but did find they improved a bit with a higher powered source device. The upper mids get spicy but this is mild and recording dependent and most may not notice this at all. Anyhow, these things do not have bass, just read the reviews from people in this forum you wrote a proper review; no bass really.

While the Blon BL-03 has a somewhat similar tuning, with a bit more sub-bass and less upper midrange and treble, they also have worse detail, worse layering and worse instrument separation. Strings are reproduced well so those looking for an in-ear for concerto or small ensemble classical pieces will find the BL-03 to be a good value. Speaking of the cable, it is detachable and of high quality, it doesn't get tangled and it has low microphonic noise. My assessment in this respect is critical: having to turn up the volume to perceive the closeness of the mids is not a solution when the bass remains in the room for a long time. Final Audio has since released a multitude of products, like the aforementioned E series, A series (which includes their top-of-the-line A8000), B series, and even headphones like the Sonorous series.

If BLON can keep this up, while improving other aspects such as the cable and other accessories, they are gonna be the brand to look out for this year. When I first listen to them I though they kinda sound quite low and had to increase the volume which is normal for other iems that I had listen to before.I don’t have the 9T with me at the moment (at work) but from memory, the 9T has more detail and better instrument separation. Upper mids are much elevated compared to the BL Max but not as elevated and aggressive compared to BL05s. The problem lies with the angled 2-pin connectors, which, depending on your ear shape can force the earphones into an unnatural angle and thus compromise the fit.

In my book, if a pair of IEMs have stood the test of time, rather than just a hypetrain that died after a few weeks, then they must be a truly stellar set.Nozzles exit the front of the shell with a forward rake and a large lip to retain tips (More on tips in a bit). Use trn silicone tips (black and tiny red bores) they offer better soundstage than foam tips, trn tips must be inserted halfway only. Perhaps that's why the timbre remains realistic, if, at times, underdeveloped or expanded, like the vast majority of the notes.

Subbass has more focus than the midbass and exhibits great depth; it is able to reach those really deep rumbles accompanied by a slightly above average length of decay. The treble is quite controlled and the first cymbals are present, but there is no flashy brilliance. As for a video, please take off the eartips, then play a song and turn up the volume, then put the lens to each side to show the sound difference. The BL-07 currently retails for 45 USD, and was provided to me for free by KeepHiFi in exchange for this review.
