About this deal

Unfortunately, one too many school suspensions has catapulted me into the world I swore I’d never live in. Scar takes no shit though! She's feisty as hell and doesn't take any of their crap lying down. She has to participate in "the games" to earn her place in the hierarchy and these guys waste no time trying to bend her will.

I was immediately drawn into the dynamics of this story and the characters. I loved Scar's sassiness, even if at times she was almost a bit much. This is a girl that's not afraid to throw punches. And in all fairness, she doesn't start, but she does finish it. Then you have the guys. Jagger, the adrenaline junky. Crew, the boy she once gave her heart to, only to have it be crushed. And Neo, who hates her with a passion. Boulder Cove Academy: Where The Lawless reign and those beneath them are ash between their fingertips. Readers who love bully books (but don't feel like they need heavy dub-con/I personally felt the triggers in this particular enemies to lovers/bully type book are quite tame).I really enjoyed Rachel Leigh's Redwood Rebels series, so when I saw she had a new series coming out I had to jump on it. This series was so much more than I expected. The characters are amazing and the drama/suspense/thriller parts are everything. I loved it. The cliffhanger is brutal so fair warning on that but the book is so worth the read. Customer reviews

This is dark, twisted and full of deceit. But in the best possible way. Enemies to lovers trope definitely plays a huge part here. But I feel there is far more in this plot than just the surface. I seriously did not want this book to end! It was so good! So dirty, so captivating and it had me on the edge of seat. This was phenomenal and really gave us a 0-60 start to this series. I am down for every dark moment. The cliffhanger has me theorising what could be coming next, it didn't end how I expected which is always a bonus! Since it’s the first book of a series, we are indeed facing a cliffhanger and questions surrounding our head about things happening, some secrets we’d love to have revealed.

Scarlett is forced to attend Boulder Cove Academy after one too many instances of expulsion in public schooling. She's managed to avoid this life until now. Now forced into the direct orbit of The Lawless, Crew, Jagger, and Neo the games only just beginning. The writing has such an easy, irresistible flow that it is truly possible for someone with some free time to binge read the entire book in a day. Personally, I read it so fast and not once did I feel like putting it down. Honestly Savage Games was a great introduction to the series, that I'd definitely recommend to a bully romance lover and I'm positively looking forward to meeting the next book soon! Rachel Leigh is a USA Today and International bestselling author of new adult and contemporary romances. Crew, Jagger, and Neo are basically the top of the chain here. They are Lawless and they rule with an iron fist, what they say goes. After reading the prequel (I highly recommend doing this as it gives you a little glimpse and more understanding of the world) I knew this book was going to have me hooked.

The story was told in first person from limited points of view, mainly Scarlett's and Crew's. Lots of inner thoughts, particularly from Scarlett. There was little side character prominence in which more development could have added some complexity. My second pet peeve is the instant best friend. Come on, just once make the FMC want to attend the party if she attending the party is so important to the story, we don't need a friend that have no other reason to be in the story other than to take the FMC to the party. Neo needs to chill tf out and stop being a controlling hot head! I mean ffs he can’t keep blaming Scar for what happened, it’s not fair on her for him to keep taking his anger out on her. I hate that he controls and manipulates Crew and Jagger too. Savage Games always has a mix of suspense, a small (or is it?) amount of danger, delicious spice along with some occasional thriller elements to surely keep you addicted and so entertained. The steam is hot and the story is slowly evolving into a RH which is teasingly promising and I can't act as if I'm not excited to read more of it. She loves to write—and read—flawed bad-boys and strong heroines. You can expect dark elements, a dash of suspense, and a lot of steam.

Neo, Crew and Jagger are the Lawless. Kings of the school. And Scarlett is their target. They hate Scarlett for an accident that was not her fault at all. But she isn't someone weak. She will play their games and beat them too. They have a complex dynamic. Neo is the most unhinged one. Darkest one. He wants to hate Scar but cannot resist her fierceness. Crew is the sweetest one. He and Scar have a very heartbreaking history too. Jagger confused me the most. He swings from smirking charming self to crazy side. It was sexy and deviant and emotional. And I want more. Scarlett is a heroine that I immediately liked. This is a tough as nails FMC that isn't afraid to stand up for herself. Growing up, she was the one on the outskirts of the group. The immediate object of dislike from Neo, and his two best friends that followed suit.

The bullying is done well and with enough of a unique convincing motive for each character that it feels authentic; yet rarely crosses the line in a way that is completely morally impossible to redeem—I dig it. Scarlett enters a new school for Blue Bloods knowing the Lawless are out to get her. The three of them run the academy and have a history with her involving secret relationships and resentments. She agrees to compete in a set of games to move up in rank in the school's unofficial/official hierarchy. But things become iffy when Scarlett becomes uncertain where the truth is and the games start.
