About this deal

better sight lines– as the bend is in the same plane as the Arms of the bender it is easier to line up by eye

Monument Masters XV Pipe Bender 15mm | Toolstation

Problem? We’ve creased pipes (and had to junk that section) using cheap pipe benders multiple times.

The copper pipe is then placed under the hook across the top of the wheel former (5) and under the stay. If you’ve not used copper pipe benders before, you’ve probably never creased a pipe. It goes without saying creasing affecting the integrity of the pipe long term, and that’s a big no-no.

The standard finish of the benders is a bright zinc plate on the Arms with rumbled aluminium Former and Lever castings. We will also be making available special editions with different finishes to the castings. Some of the Monument Masters have received laser etched and polished castings which look fantastic! Differences compared to a combi bender Pipe springs are just that. Springs which go in pipes. Putting a spring into a pipe before applying pressure to bend it, will stop the pipe kinking. You will not see many plumbers using springs however as it is very hard to keep the bend neat and to the correct diameter. Free standing pipe bender - Free standing pipe benders are the biggest, most robust type of bender for heavy duty applications. They stand upright on their own stand, giving users the ability to use both hands - providing the strength required to bend heavy pipes. There are some benders specifically suited to smaller pipe (8mm/10mm for instance), and we’ll cover those later. We believe the 1215K-XV, the 1315XVE, the 1315Longarm-XVL, the 1222G-XXII and the 1322Extended-XXIIE are easier to use than a combi bender:

Pipe benders come in a variety of sizes catering for copper pipes from 6mm to 38mm and are operated by hand. Mechanical benders deal with pipes bigger than this. The 15mm 22mm pipe bender or tube bender is an essential part of the toolkit for any heating or plumbing engineer. Bending pipes with a pipe bender is difficult. Its not actually difficult to bend the pipe, but bending the pipe in the right place is a different ball game. Working out the diameter of the bend and linking it to the place in the run where you want the bend to start and finish can only be done with practice and we would very strongly suggest you buy extra pipe to practice with.

We have included bending angles of 30 45 60 and 90 degrees on the XV and XVL 15mm versions and an additional 75 degree angle on the 22mm version; these are easily visible on the Former of each bender. Differences compared to a combi bender

The 2600K includes 15mm and 22mm aluminium guides. These guides are available as spares;15mm 2601N and 22mm 2603T. These guides also fit Irwin® and Hilmor® GLM. The formers are sized at different pipes sizes and are about 150mm long. Now, as you close the handle, the former pushes the pipe round the wheel former giving you a perfect, kink free bend.

The Monument Masters 1215K-XV, 1315-XVE, 1315Longarm-XVL , 1222G-XXII and 1322Extended-XXIIE create similar bend radiuses to a Monument 2600K combi bender; in fact the 1222G has a slightly tighter radius that the 2600K combi bender, as this radius is tighter it creates a slightly different profile on the outside of the bend when compared to a combi. We believe the 1215K-XV, the 1315XVE, the 1315Longarm-XVL, the 1222G-XXII and the 1322Extended-XXIIE are easier to use than a combi bender:
