About this deal

Still, Pernille continued to work at the Nykøbing Falster Hospital, where she is currently working. As the series depicts, she did end up with Niels and they eventually got married as well. Niels, however, left the hospital due to the differences between the administrative board of the same regarding the way Christina’s predicament was approached. After Christina’s arrest, they raised their voice against the system that enabled someone like Christina to commit crimes over several years. Based on Kristian Corfixen's book The Nurse: Inside Denmark's Most Sensational Criminal Trial, the show closely follows the nature of the real Hansen's crimes. What Shows Will It Remind You Of? While The Nurse is based on the book The Nurse: Inside Denmark’s Most Sensational Criminal Trial by Kristian Corfixen, about the real life case of Christina Hansen, it certainly has a similar narrative to The Good Nurse, which was about the real-life story of American serial killer nurse Charles Cullen. Fast forward to 2014. Pernille Larsen (Fanny Louise Bernth) has just moved to Falster to be closer to her daughter’s father. She also just finished nursing school and is getting her first nursing job in the emergency department of a local hospital. The hospital has a bad reputation around Denmark, but she’s just happy to work in the profession and is nervous as hell. Mind also observes that those with the condition may "depend very heavily on being noticed, or are seeking approval so much that this affects [their] day-to-day living".

Trotzdem war es sehr interessant und ich konnte für mich persönlich ein paar neue Fakten mitnehmen. However, as it couldn't be ruled out that other factors had led to the patients' deaths, she was instead convicted of four counts of attempted murder on appeal. Hansen's sentence was commuted to 12 years in 2017, and she was stripped of her licence to practise as a nurse. Soon a murder case unfolds like never seen before in Danish legal history. Several co-workers are now telling the police that they also suspect the nurse has poisoned patients, and some even tell that they have been walking around with this suspicion for several years.”

The Nurse Recap

The short series follows Christina Aistrup Hansen. She was a nurse who was held in high regard among her colleagues at the hospital, but during night shifts she administered patients with lethal doses of diazepam and morphine, only then to help save them after their condition dramatically declined. However when Hansen’s patients kept dying, Kurzmann became suspicious of Hansen. Mrs. Doubtfire’ Fans Psyched For A Potential Documentary Featuring The Late Robin Williams’ “Special And Magical” Improv Process What's truly fascinating here is the character of Christina herself - how she managed to maintain a mask of charisma and professionalism, effectively silencing any potential whistleblowers for years. It's almost like a masterclass in manipulation and deception, only the subject matter makes it far from a thrilling study.

In the early hours of March 2015, the police receive a call from a nurse at a provincial Danish hospital. She suspects her colleague is deliberately killing patients and fears that it has just happened again. Kasper Barfoed, who also wrote the script with Dorte W Hogh, directs the true-crime drama starring Josephine Park and Fanny Louise Bernth. The viewers may draw parallels with another Netflix show, 'The Good Nurse,' starring Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain. Nina Leidersdorff and Morten Kjems Hytten Juhl, through SAM Productions, produced it. Meta Louise Foldager Sorensen serves as the series' executive producer of the Danish drama. On March 1, 2015, Hansen's behavior came to a head when two patients died under her care, and another 73-year-old woman was revived at the last minute.

Soon, several witnesses reveal that they too suspect the same nurse of poisoning patients; some have been harbouring their suspicion for years… so why has no one done anything about it before? And now that those patients’ bodies have long been cremated, where is the evidence? Netflix has announced the new thriller series ‘ The Nurse’ starring Josephine Park and Fanny Louise Bernth is due to air on 27th April and is based on the book ‘ The Nurse: Inside Denmark’s Most Sensational Criminal Trial’ by Danish journalist Kristian Corfixen.Alyssa Farah Griffin Defends Justin Timberlake Following Britney Spears' Explosive Abortion Claims On 'The View': "They Were Both In A Very Toxic Environment" Hey fellow book-lovers! I've just finished my re-read of "Sjuksköterskan: Fallet som skakade hela Skandinavien" by Kristian Corfixen and, boy, is it a ride. Kristian Corfixen has done an incredible job writing The Nurse. This is a gripping and suspenseful account of a nurse in Denmark who is suspected of deliberately killing patients. Corfixen does an excellent job of creating a sense of tension and drama, making the reader feel like they are right there alongside the investigators as they try to solve the mystery. The Nurse goes on to tell the story of how Pernille was crucial in uncovering Christina's actions, leading to her real-life conviction on four counts of attempted manslaughter.
