Several coats may be added as the Wax provides a depth of finish that revives and protects any original patina of your wood. On bare or stripped woods, Sand the surface to a smooth finish in the direction of the grain. Stain the wood if necessary. On open grained woods, you can stain and seal using a Shellac Sealer, but this is optional. Apply the Supreme wax using very fine 0000 wire wool or buffing cloth in the direction of the grain and allow soaking into the wood. Remove any excess and then once dry, buff to the desired sheen level. Several coats may be added to build further sheen and protection. This can be used on all bare interior woods or furniture. By drill buffing brush - let the bristles do the work. If you push down on the bristles they will start to soften and remove the wax from the surface of the wood

Rugger Brown – This is a tone of brown mainly used on hardwoods such as Oak and Walnut but is also a good alternative on Elm and Pine woods for a slightly darker shade. Next using very fine 0000 wire wool, or buffing cloth apply Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish in the direction of the grain onto the surface and remove any excess. Light Brown – Mainly used on lighter timbers that you want to add a subtle shade and warmth to the grain of the wood. What makes a good wax?

High quality jointed oak picture shelves - these are biscuit jointed (similar to tongue and groove) for strength. Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish is recommended to give excellent results on sealed or bare interior wood. Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish contains an exclusive, environmentally friendly blend of waxes that naturally enhances the beauty of your wood. Application can be by cloth, brush or sponge. If applying to an open grained bare wood it would be best to apply a coat of Shellac Sanding Sealer first to provide a base for a more consistent and resilient finish. After application, allow to dry for about 3 minutes before buffing with a soft cloth. For larger areas a drill buffing brush can be used. Applying additional coats will deepen the existing colour or shade and significantly enhance the resulting sheen level. Solid Oak Mantle Beams are hand carved, sanded and ready to fit with a colour finish of your choice. Choose a solid oak mantel to finish the contemporary or traditional look of your fireplace. Surfaces treated with Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish can be dry wiped with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove surface dust. For minor surface stains, scuffs and marks, wipe with a slightly dampened (not wet) cloth with water and Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner.
