I'm hyperlexic, and can't imagine (nor remember, as I began reading aloud before age 2) looking at words in my native language and not being able to decipher the symbols into concepts and ideas. It is so positive about the dyslexic talents while being very realistic about the problems associated with them. Read everything because I didn’t know I was dyslexic, fortunately I never read letters backward, but I did blank out words when I read them.
