The thermostat seems to work well, and was the primary reason I selected this product (along with included safeties). As previously mentioned, it keeps the room it's in at a consistent 5-8°F warmer than the rest of the home when left on the partial power setting. It took some experimenting with the thermostat position, as it doesn't have temperature markings on it, but about 30-35% of full scale is where I have it set. That seems to be ~70°F control temperature for the room size and R-value. It also implies there is a fair amount of margin to run the unit harder than I am.
