About this deal

He really loves his mom. Warner, seems super harsh and cold-hearted, which he can be, but never ever when it comes to his mother. Warner goes through so much to try to get his mother well and puts her before people’s opinion of him. The first time we see him cry is when his mom died and it was heartbreaking. One touch is all it takes. One touch, and Juliette Ferrars can bring a grown man to his knees, begging for mercy. One touch, and she can kill. Aaron Warner. Period. Warner is one of my favorite parts of this series. He is my favorite book boyfriend out of all the books I’ve read for many reasons. I’ll name a few.

Restore Me: Kinda hated how Juliette forgets her role lots of times. Kenji and Warner is amazing, but let's add Nazeera to my favorite list. - uh oh moment near the end making the next book unpredictable. Adam was Juliette's only companion in grade school before she was abruptly thrown in the asylum. After some time they're reunited under strained circumstances. He, an undercover agent for the Reestablishment, her, his assignment. She immediately recognizes him, and while he knows full well who she is and she makes him feel can't let her or his superiors know of these feelings. After some time they escape and learn more about each other and themselves than they were prepared for. Causing a strain on their relationship that took them by surprise. somewhere in here Warners actions get 'justified' it was a cheap way of switching the ML. Also am I the only one who thinks Anderson named Juliette Juliette because her and warner kept falling in love? (Romeo and Juliette) I Found that funny, lol.He is beyond in love with Juliette. It is so special because he is closed off and cold-hearted with everyone else, but with Juliette, he is the definition of the best boyfriend. Ever. He is so passionate it makes me want to scream or cry or laugh or something just thinking about him. Also, I have no doubt whatsoever that he would kill anyone who harms Juliette. He wouldn’t even bat an eye. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ho intenzione di parlavi oltre che dei volumi, della scrittura e di tutto il resto, anche dei singoli personaggi. No one knows why Juliette has such incredible power. It feels like a curse, like too great a burden for one person alone to bear. But The Reestablishment sees her as an opportunity. As a deadly weapon. And they’ll stop at nothing to shape her into what they want. The writing was creative and easy to get through. I find a lot of books nowadays are hard to digest, I trip over the jagged rises and falls of the sentences, but shatter me wasn’t like that one bit. It was creative without being over the top or superfluous. I also really enjoyed the POV. Basically it was really easy to get inside Juliette’s head and reside their, taking in what she took in how she perceived it. So much action, finally, FINALLY badass and strong Juliette, so much Warner (though I have to admit I was kind of sad that he's really just a good guy in disguise and that Juliette made him so much less cool).

There is so much I could say but won’t because I want people to actually read this review. Castle was the worst rebel leader ever written, Adam didn’t love Juliette, he just wanted sex. Kenji was fine but his mouth was so over the top with expletives and seedy dialogue that he was a drag to get through most of the time, James was bland. I actually liked Winston and Brendan, but their roles were neglected because there was too much focus on the damn love triangle. I actually hoped they had all died in the bombing in book three like we were “led” to be believe (like I said, predictably predictable), but no, literally every main characters I just mentioned, everyone we’ve met at Omega Point in the past three books, survived. The people who died in the battle were nobodies that nobody cared about because we didn’t know them. Where’s the suspense? Where’s the cathartic grief? You played up the battle and their death so much but then… nothing to show for it? I don't LOVE the writing style, although I believe it got better. I'm not really fond of the crossed words and repetitive words and sentences. È un distopico o no? The plot was predictably unpredictable. It’s the kind of story that thinks too little of its reader. Maybe I’d heard too much about it on Booktok before going into it, but I was s h o c k e d at how terrible the plot was. Besides the fact that the author stretched the story a bit too far, the title speaks for itself: this is not a sugar-coated series and is rather tragic. But the lessons to take from it stand powerful.

Everyone gets a happy ending. (obviously not the bad guys lol). By happy ending, I don’t mean everything is perfect, but I am saying that almost everyone gets what they wanted (everyone meaning the good characters). Also, although there was one big main goal that was shared, everyone still had specific things they wanted, which eventually happened. There are different races and cultures included in this series, along with different sexualities. This series feels like a group hug that anyone is welcome to join. Since it's Juliette, there was still some (a lot) emotional garbage and reasoning but she eventually found the right guy and the wrong guy turned into DEFINETELY the wrong guy (called it) and even though it ended kind of before the real action probably would have started (what with taking over the world and such) it ended on a good note. Mafi combines a psychological opener with an action-adventure denouement in her YA debut. This is a gripping read from an author who's not afraid to take risks." -- Publishers Weekly

Unravel Me: Kinda hated Juliette in the first half, Kenji is the MVP, Warner is the King, and Adam.. well he threw a bunch of tantrum, and I hayed that too. Defy Me: Amazing book! the stories universe just got bigger - literally, they're involving the whole world now. Humor through Kenji, and emotion through Aaron and Juliette or whatever her name is *Wink* - also a very beautiful ending! I know I stopped during the third book, but I wish Juliette’s character development had been better. I wish her change had been more obvious. I wish her arc had been about how touch isn’t the only important thing in life. She was just starting to grow from her old mindset in the third book (due to Warner no doubt) Mafi could have used the people at Omega Point and her problems with Adam to further this—to say: I am powerful and capable and I’ve spent this long fighting for myself, I don’t need to spend entire books stressing about the first guy who liked me. I know that’s kind of Warner’s message to her, but we’re two books in and I’m already bored. The fact that he can touch her and cares about her should have come in later, after she'd delved into this belief for herself. Warner told her everything she needed to be and she did it. She never thought for herself (no, getting angry and yelling when you disagree with something is not thinking for herself).probabile che non sia esperta di young adult, ma l’evoluzione del racconto è stata a dir poco lineare, senza veri colpi di scena, imprevisti, situazioni di tensione seria.
