About this deal

Every single time Alabama was mentioned I thought of incest especially when that scenes happened LMAOO. Ok but for real, nothing like that happened. I'm just being me. behind his cruel spirit. His girlfriend didn’t, or she wouldn’t have broken up with him like that. He held himself with a confidence that turned heads, and I guess no one noticed anything deeper. Much as I knew he was bad news and wanted to hate him, I’d heard him talking to his mother. Heard him tell her he loved her. Heard the pain in his voice. “Don’t go there,” Nash warned from beside me. “West ain’t good, sweetheart. He’s one of my best friends, but he’s poison for girls like you. He don’t care about anyone as much as he cares about West.” Nash didn’t have to worry. I wasn’t going anywhere near We After me trying to read One More Chance and failing tremendously, I kinda lost faith. I didn’t know if I could continue with Abbi’s books but with this brand new story, she won me over. Kinda.

I was nervous to start this because I'm not a fan of angsty love triangles, but Abbi Glines surprised me with how she did this triangle. It wasn't full of a lot of drama and fighting, and for a YA everything was handled pretty maturely. Sure, there was a few parts that had some drama in it, but not nearly as much of the book as I was expecting. I really liked how these three characters acted throughout the book.Brady is nice 2 her but his mum Maggie's auntie wants him 2 look out 4 her Brady is on the football team an is 1 of the best they al go 2 the a field on Friday nites after there game so Maggie as 2 tag along she wants 2 make it easy on Brady she as told him that when she wrote on her note pad so once they r there she just sits in a corner but Maggie is not easy hid she is so beautiful an everyone soon notices her that includes the team but Brady tells them al 2 keep away

Anyways, I still didn't like any of the stuff mentioned above because it does seem to happen a bunch in these books. Besides that, I'm slightly confused as to why the women or girls are portrayed so poorly in these books too. Again, I was frustrated. I wanted to rip my hair out, burn the book in a nearby trashcan, or both. Then there was the whole personality of these characters because they were so freaking bland. I would rather stare at a white wall for three days then learn more about these boring ass people. The wall would somehow show more character growth and personality in 5 minutes than anyone in this damn book. when i first read until friday night i thought it was a stand alone contemporary novel and i was surprised to learn that it was getting a second book making it a duology, i thought the first book was ok and when i seen this book in the book section of my local book shop and learned it was set in the same town and same set of characters i had to see what was going to happen next for these characters, because i hate not finishing a series once i know it has two books in it. Brady has caught my heart in the first book and I love him to bits. However, in this one, I felt strongly disapproving of many decisions he made. It was very frustrating for me to read. THIS BOOK WAS SO SHIT LMFAOOO I'm laughing. It was a mess, but I enjoyed every second. That means I'm a mess too. sure how to convince him that I’d keep to myself, that I wouldn’t bother him or change his life. “Shit, this ain’t gonna be easy. You’re—” He paused and let out a laugh that didn’t sound like he meant it. “This shit is gonna be worse than I thought. Least you could have helped me out and been ugly.” Excuse me? Brady frowned. “Just don’t draw attention to yourself. My momma finally got the daughter she never had, but it don’t make shit easier for me. I have a life, you know.” I simply nodded. I was sure he had a life. He was tall with dark hair and light hazel eyes, and his wide shoulders hinted at the muscles underneath his T-shirt. No doubt girls loved him. I had no intention of being in his way, but I could see how my coming into his home and taking his room would make it seem

Willa lives every day with regret. She's hoping to move on from her past. When she was younger Brady was her crush, but Gunner was her confidant. between Brady’s legs. No surprise. They’d been together a lot this summer. Ivy was a senior and head cheerleader and determined to claim Brady now that his ex-girlfriend had graduated and moved halfway across the country. “’Bout time you showed up,” Brady said with a smirk, tossing me a can of beer. He rarely drank. It wasn’t that he was against it, but he was determined to play at the University of Alabama next year. I had been too—once. Now I was just making it day to day, praying to God my dad didn’t leave us. Beer had become a crutch for me at these field parties. The anxiety from home was all over me, and I knew it. I needed to numb my mind. I’m pretty sure Brady figured something was up and wanted me to tell him. Of all the women in town, his momma was the only one who was ever nice to my mother. She’d invited us to dinner many times over the I had come to realize that sometimes West needed me, but other times he needed her. Or someone like her.” My aunt and uncle left me alone, finally, and retreated down the hall. I stood in the pretty blue room and realized, much to my surprise, that I already felt safe. I’d thought the comfort of safety was long gone for me. Pero en este caso la cosa es diferente, al menos eso creí. Ya que el primer libro de la serie, no solo me entretuvo también me revolvió muchos sentimientos. Me hizo pensar que esta serie sería algo más que simple y banal entretenimiento.

West was the typical manwhore using girls and sex to numb his current situation but he finds an anchor in Maggie and insists they be friends. Maggie falls for West but worries she is just is crutch helping in through his loss and not the love she dreams of finding but something unhealthy for both of them.

The Field Party Series in Order (6 Books)

What I did not like, and this is going to be a PSA for all authors who might find themselves reading this: Girls are not mean. Yes, they’re mean people out there, yes, they’re such a pain, but not all teenage girls are like that. Not all the girls who openly enjoy sex are that mean. GIRLLLL, BE A THERAPIST OR SOMETHING. For now, deal with your own issues, try to prioritize your education and find some decent friends.

Abbi Glines uses the same formula in all her books and to be honest it usually works for me. Her books are nice and very pleasant to read. This book follows the same line with the popular rich boy / broken and innocent girl and although it’s a sweet reading there was some aspects that didn’t work for me and despite being told that it happens in other Abbi’s books, it was the first time I noticed: There was a huge factor of slut-shaming all the girls that weren’t the heroine, because apparently not being a virginal saint was a huge sin in this book. I’m far from being the most liberal and accepting person in the world (even though I do try) but I don’t like prejudice in my books… or in real life. Especially stupid prejudice that suggests girls who have sex are whores and boys who do the same are sexy gods. Unfortunately that didn’t work for me and that is mainly the reason for the 3 stars rating. However, if you’re a fan of the author you’ll probably enjoy this book. I know that a lot of people consider this to be a love triangle and that it's set up to be a love triangle, but in my personal opinion, it is not. Not by a long shot. There's obviously a clear winner here. I absolutely adored Gunner and Willa's connection. Their relationship was incredibly endearing and innocently sweet. While reading this my ears literally burned with hatred for those that wronged them. It was addicting and I couldn't stop reading. Content Warnings: Intense family drama. Rape. Slut shaming. Misogyny. Judgmental small towns. Infidelity.

We need to reinforce the idea that girls who enjoy sex are not sluts. Girls who enjoy sex are not to be objectified by their partners. Girls take care of each other more than books portray these days. His face . . . It was like God had taken all the perfect features for man and put them together just for this guy" Yo soy una chica de ciudad, siempre he vivido en medio del ruido y aglomeraciones. Por lo que la vida en las small towns me parece fascinante, quizá no lo sea, pero como es algo que yo nunca he vivido pues me resulta intrigante. I had no intention of being in his way, but I could see how my coming into his home and taking his room would make it seem otherwise. And now his parents had me in his classes, too.
