Another great aspect of DST-152 is that it comes with an excellent accessory bundle. The Sound, The Feel Of The Donner DST-152 Donner DST-152 is suited for entry-level guitarists looking for their first guitar to learn and play. With its great looks, decent performance, and sound, as well as pretty excellent price point, Donner DST-152 is, without a doubt, a great first guitar. It is very impressive how much quality and versatility this guitar offers. The gig bag is not heavily padded but it seems strong and comfortable to carry around with nicely padded handles and shoulder straps. But the overall versatility of this Donner really surprised me. It can handle music from soft country cleans to pretty meaty metal tones if the right amp is used (I recommend Fender Mustang LT25, Boss Katana 50 Mkii, or VOX Valvetronix 20). And this is why I think it’s a great choice, especially for beginners.

One of the most important things for me and my small hands is the playability of the guitar. And I was pleasantly surprised by the playability of this donner. I got approached by Donner’s staff member Brandon, and he offered to send me products to test and review for free. I was flattered, but at first, I declined. I didn’t want to become like the Youtubers who produce commercials for guitars and rarely disclaim that they got products for free or even got paid to produce content. But I started to have second thoughts…Tuners and all other important hardware like the bridge seem to be working well which is the most important thing. I have the Ice Blue color model, which looks pretty special as it is a blend of light blue and metallic colors. The color changes slightly with the light and appears gray or light blue depending on where you are. I rate this guitar 4.5 out of 5 for its sound and feel with the offered price. It is a great instrument with a very good value-for-price ratio.

Donner DST-400 is a great entry-level guitar for beginner guitarists. It is highly affordable, sounds good, feels highly comfortable, and is quite versatile. It can be preferred by younger musicians as well as adults as their first instruments. But, as it is a bit of a heavy guitar, it may not be suitable for kids. Besides the 5-way switch and push/pull coil split-tone knob, there is also a volume knob on the guitar. In general, they are no worse than other cheap guitars but don’t expect perfection either. Are Donner Guitars Good for Beginners? One major problem is with the push-pull knob, which decreases the comfortability of controls. The push and pull knob is hard to manage, especially in the 10th setting. This might take some time to get used to.Donner guitars are ideal for beginners from the value standpoint. Guitars often come with accessories or even all that you need to get started. Donner guitars are also usually easy to play, versatile, and sound good. First, the volume knob affects your sound only from 5-10. It turns to silent when you reach 4, so it doesn’t give that good control over the volume. For me, this doesn’t really matter since I mostly adjust the tone knobs and only sometimes turn the volume to around 8 instead of 10.
