Although there's not much to Light Mod, physically speaking, it's a very solid device that is going to be hard to damage (though at this small size both it and its diffuse cover will be easy to lose). Artificial lighting is great for illuminating your subject and bringing out color and detail. But it only takes a few feet of water, beyond the reach of your LED lights, to filter out the reds, oranges and yellows of the reef. And the deeper you go, the more the dreaded blue-green cast will smother your footage. That’s where red filters come into play, removing the blue spectrum and restoring the balance of color in your video. In my opinion, this light is perfect for vlogs, YouTube content, portrait shooting, product shooting, and video shooting with less movement involved. This is one of the best RGB box lights with a functional mounting system. So yes, you can attach it to your GoPro and remove the tripod if you’d like to. This light is unique because it’s not meant to attach to a GoPro mount or your GoPro itself. Instead, it comes with a mini tripod stand which means you can easily set up this light in a stationary position. The Max also gets decent 16ft (5m) water resistance, in-built retractable mounting fingers and is now compact enough to be compatible with GoPro’s entire range of mounting solutions.

However, the primary downside to this light is its relatively high price point compared to other options. But you can’t go wrong with the Sea Dragon if you’re looking for a serious workhorse and don’t have a budget limit.
