Madonna will also release a new remix of her global dance smash “Hung Up” featuring Tokischa next Friday, September 16. The collaboration was premiered with a live performance by the duo at Madonna’s Pride event at Terminal 5 in New York in June celebrating her career-spanning remix collection Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones.

Unfortunately, I can't find a reliable source for the usual record release day in France at the time, but Friday seems plausible. I do know that Like a Prayer premiered on French radio on Friday, March 17th 1989 and I bought my copy on Saturday, March 18th 1989 (when Wikipedia gives a general release date of Tuesday, March 21st 1989).
