About this deal

More eucalyptus leaves brushed with gold leaf Rub ‘n Buff. They add a classy and organic touch to any room! FACT #5: IS RUB ‘N BUFF PERMANENT? Rub N Buff is a paste type substance with a unique blend of Carnauba wax, fine metallic powders and many unique and select pigments. It is a great alternative to spray paints, and a little definitely goes a long way. It comes in 9 different shades including Antique Gold, Autumn Gold, Ebony, European Gold, Gold Leaf, Grecian Gold, Pewter, Silver Leaf, and Spanish Copper. It comes in a small 1/2 oz tube, but believe me, a little goes a long way. I personally have found that depending on the metallic color I choose to use, I have had to apply multiple layers of the wax paste to achieve my desired color. The handle to the left has just one coat applied so far in the gold leaf color tone, which happens to be one of the trendiest colors (in my opinion) out of the 12 available.

Over the past couple of months I have been searching for some new light fixtures for the sides of my bed. We currently have some wall lamps on both sides of the bed. Over the past year have wanted something new to go better with my new bed frame. I felt like the dark color of the lamps was overwhelming with the dark upholstered headboard. Here is a BEFORE and AFTER picture of the gold plate chargers. As you can see, the plate on the left is tarnished and worn. However, just one coat of gold leaf Rub ‘n Buff revived the charger and made it look brand new. RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES: Rub onto clean, dry, or previously painted surfaces or on post-fired ceramics with a finger or soft cloth, then gently buff to a beautiful luster. Normally, I would use my finger but for sample purposes, I did use gloves as to not mix any of the colors. Rub it on and then buff it out, a little goes a long way! If you need another coat be sure to let the first coat dry completely first. Objects A creamy light blue. Patina is the color that real copper turns when exposed to the elements and agent over time Above is a place setting for a dinner party with a plate charger and a eucalyptus leaf brushed in gold leaf Rub ‘n Buff.

Basically, you can use it to refresh or change the tone of metal surfaces, and to add metallic details to furnishings and decor. I’ve tried it on both wood and metal, but I have not tried it on glass or plastic, though I’m sure it would work just fine on either! How do you used Rub-n-Buff?

If brass isn’t on your color palette, Rub and Buff has several other finish options to choose from. They all go on the same way – by rubbing and buffing – but some of them, like silver, have a slightly different spreading consistency. The paste can be used on painted surfaces, metal, wood, ceramics, plastic, glass, metal and more. It’s easy to apply and can completely transform any item in a matter of minutes! I love to use it on antiques, frames, crafts and home decor. Color Options Have you ever wanted to give a lamp, light fixture or other piece of furniture a but of an update or restore it to its original glory? I want to show you how you can sue Rub N Buff to do just that! When I tell you that I gasped the first time I used it, I am not exaggerating. This stuff can be used is some really great ways to give items in your home new life! You can use it ono so many things and I want to share how I have been using it in my home. Instead, I gave them a coat of Rub-n-Buff, which totally transformed them (in my eyes, at least, though I know going from shiny gold to muted gold isn’t exactly the most impressive DIY makeover!). You can see in the before photo on the left, that the gold is very shiny and yellow, and then on the right it’s darker and less shiny, which feels a lot less dated to me. I used Rub-N-Buff gold leaf for these sconces. One of the great things about Rub-n-Buff is that you can use it on almost any hard surface. I’ve personally used it on picture frames, toilet plumbing lines, light fixtures, and drawer hardware. I’ve also seen it used furniture legs, glass etchings, and to highlight furniture trim/detail work. Here are some other ways to use Rub and Buff, although it definitely isn’t a comprehensive list. I’d love to hear about your project. Share in the comments how you have used Rub and Buff!
