About this deal

This tech is patented by the company Klipsch, and you may find this technology in other speakers. There are many layers of metal over the cone that led it to be stiff. This is great as it avoids breakup. The mix-up of materials leads to the driver’s regular breakup point to the point that is pretty far from the frequency that it works in. The RP-600M's sensitivity is specified as an extraordinarily high 96dB/W/m, its frequency response as 45Hz–25kHz, ±3dB. The titanium tweeter diaphragm's light weight yet rigid composition exceeds the performance of aluminum, polymer or silk tweeters. Enter the LXminis. INSTANT sweetness! Without having to break anything in…or out. Even SWMBO fell in love with them. Of course, the downside of that is now I've got to share listening time. :( Who doesn’t enjoy good music quality to enjoy whether throughout the day or just for a bit of time?

The rear Tractrix port is perfectly matched to the cabinet and woofers, creating ideal airflow with minimal distortion or turbulence even at the lowest frequencies.

ps. Oh Hell, while we're at it, lets make all our pricy gear in China. dcs China gear, Audio Research China, VPI Turntables from China.

Because on and off-axis response is similar, we get the same shape graph as our spinorama on-axis with a bit of tilt down which we can all appreciate. A speaker this inexpensive isn’t supposed to be this good. It isn’t rational. The Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-600M is not just a great loudspeaker for its price, or for horn-loving Klipsch Kids—it’s way better than that. In my world, this speaker is a uniquely important discovery. Super-highly recommended.” The stereo imaging with these speakers is not as amazing as a few other speakers in the market. You get a more diffuse sound quality with the Klipsch RP-600M. However, it is more alive in a dynamic fashion.I found the RP-600M easy enough to position, although you don't want it too close to a boundary wall, for it needs at least 50cm of breathing space for optimum bass performance. A slight toe-in helped sharpen-up the stereo imaging too. Otherwise it's equally unfussy about the partnering amplifier. I used a beefy Cambridge Audio Edge W but discovered it was just as happy on the end of Icon Audio's Stereo 40 valve amp [ HFN May '19]. In both cases, a Chord Hugo 2 DAC [ HFN Aug '18] was employed as my main source. You can just set them down for great sound quality, but it is even better when you set them up. Once you spend some time with these beauties, you will understand why they are getting so much attention and appreciation from the internet folks! Final Verdict

Good grief. Look at how the two drivers are crossed with that giant dip. It seems to me this is on-purpose as all they had to do was to set the crossover frequencies a bit different and the hole would not be this deep. They must think what sells is bass and treble, and damn everything else in the middle.Normally I don't suggest letting automated room EQ fix the speaker but in this case, I would let it beat it into shape. Fun but flawed is a good way to describe Klipsch’s RP-600M – with the caveat, of course, being that every speaker is the latter, but not all are the former. Rather like an American muscle car, it has a delightfully simple, unselfconscious love of life – it’s there to enjoy things, whatever. Many will like this little loudspeaker, but it isn’t as universally appealing as some of its more mainstream price rivals, so it’s important you try before you buy. DP

The Klipsch RP-600M overall, is a nice speaker. The bass output is amazing for the size that it measures. The sound quality that comes out through these speakers is effortless, which sounds like live music in a concert. Klipsch makes use of the pillar-controlled directivity in the design of the tweeter. Why does this matter? The aesthetic of this speaker is pretty well thought of by the team. The Tractrix horn has been accented with copper so that it matches the copper finish of the woofers. It's one of the 'Marmite' products that you are either going to love... or not. Superficially, it's a bouncy, zesty sort of performer that definitely causes you to sit up on the sofa and pay attention to the music. At the same time, it's a little uneven sounding. There's a bump that makes the upper bass sound a tad more gutsy than perhaps it should given the size of the loudspeaker, and the tweeter is typically lively and, on occasions, even hard-sounding.

Suppose you listen to sounds from speakers outside without any walls, over a 10’ tall stand this wouldn’t be very important, as sound cannot bounce off anything. But when we consider a regular room with walls, sound bounces off surfaces.
