About this deal

Cleo and Heath. A very toxic relationship while Heath moves on to another woman while Cleo leaves him. Even that is proving difficult. Don’t allow your narcissistic husband to manipulate your mind. Stay in the right mindset, and don’t allow him to brainwash you. You know the truth, and you know you do. Don’t allow him to make you second-guess yourself. Don’t Take It Personally I use my writing to try to explore what I’m feeling, I try to get into the heads of other people so I can see things from their point of view.

https://www.dorothykoomson.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/someone-is-trying-to-frame-me-for-murder.mp4 I had wanted to make up stories since I was a teenager. Probably younger. The only thing I liked better than reading stories was making them up. Writing was my escape, my comfort. It was also going to be my future. I knew it. Once I had finished this course, I was going to make sure I had all the tools to start and finish a book. I was going to get myself into a routine so I wrote no matter what else was going on in my life.”A richly-crafted psychological thriller, Koomson's clever tale makes for disturbing and compulsive reading He never takes personal responsibility for anything and always blames you (or other people). Everything is always your fault, and he does absolutely nothing wrong. Even if you try to reason with him to try to see how his actions were not right, he will deny it and try to blame you instead. 9. He Acts Like a Victim Maybe you put on some new jeans and he says, “You can’t go out of the house in those because they are too tight.” Or if you want to go out with your friends, he tells you that you can’t. He might limit you in main areas of your life or treat you like a child when you’re at home. 5. He Gaslights You Cleo Forsum is a bestselling novelist turned scriptwriter whose TV series, 'The Baking Detective' is a huge success. Writing is all she's ever wanted to do, and baking and murder stories have proved a winning combination.

The following traits are good signs that your husband may be a narcissist: 1. He Acts Better Than Everyone Else As Cleo drafts the final ever episodes of the series, people she knows start getting hurt. And it's soon clear that someone is trying to frame her for murder. He thinks he knows everything. You could tell him that 2 + 2 = 4, but he would argue with you and say, “No, 2 + 2 = 5.” Meanwhile, you’re scratching your head wondering how he thinks he could possibly be right. But he doesn’t really care what the truth is; he just needs to “win” and be right. 4. He Controls You Cleo who is a series writer of a TV series, yet people were getting hurt around her and guess what! It ties in with episodes of her series. Dorothy Koomson is on formidable form. In My Other Husband, she crafts a richly textured thriller that simmers with a sense of menace. Clever, unnerving and utterly compulsive, the final few chapters left me breathless He probably goes around telling everyone about all of his “great” accomplishments. He wants people to think he is better than they are, and that includes you – especially you. 2. He Doesn’t Listen to Your Opinion At its heart, this is a tale of obsession, which I found fascinating (though it took a while to get there), but then so much other stuff started happening with murders and revenge that this primary theme that I wanted to learn more about got buried. Not much happens in the first half of the book and then SO MUCH happens in the last couple of chapters that it was somewhat jarring; and the end, while twisty, left me with unanswered questions. I did like some of the characters, especially Sidney, but felt that a good story became a little fantastical when all was said and done.

Bob Mortimer wins 2023 Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction with The Satsuma Complex I really enjoyed this book, maybe it was the different perspectives and the forced breaks in between which added to the reading experience. The writing style, and unique descriptions felt relatable and cohesive. Cleo ends her series, her job and tells Wallace that she wants a divorce. Everyone around her are surprised and confused. But Cleo is driven to these drastic actions before something awful will happen. Because he is incapable of feeling empathy, he almost enjoys seeing you in pain – either emotionally or physically. It gives him a sense of power over you. He also feels absolutely no guilt when he inflicts pain on you. What You Can Do If You Have a Narcissistic Husband

Cleo is convinced that Heath has returned and is watching her, wanting to hurt the people who mean the most to her. I’d never heard of it, have you? And this (illness, mental state, obsession) played a huge part within this thriller that gripped my full attention. I absolutely love in books when an author takes a fact, such as this and uses it, expands it and builds a very intriguing interesting character such as this. Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation [1] . When he uses it on you, he plants seeds of doubt in your head. This, in turn, makes you question your own memory or sanity. He turns reality around on you and makes you question yourself (when in actuality, he’s the one you should be questioning). 6. He Needs Admiration If this scenario sounds familiar to you, then your husband probably has narcissistic traits (or could even be a full-blow narcissist). I was absolutely delighted to learn that Dorothy Koomson, one of my top ten, or quite possibly even my top five favourite authors had written a new novel. My Other Husband is a top-notch read.
