About this deal

Here is my own version of this delicious sauce, I use this hot sauce all the time. You can also go wild with what you use the sauce with. As mentioned earlier this hot sauce is not only versatile but delicious too. you might just find yourself adding it to anything and everything. Well, I did and that includes sandwiches too. This is a spicy, rather than a herby dish. My testers don’t think the oregano used by Henry, Phipps, Stein and Kiros adds that much once the heat is ramped up, and the same goes for Kiros’s bay leaf. Both would get lost in my fiery sauce, but may prove more welcome in milder versions. As with every other dish, the secret is in the sauce. Every restaurant has a secret ingredient or two which is key to their sauce. Sometimes it’s down to adding something, but often it’s a case of increasing of one ingredient like garlic or chili. As simple as that sounds, it can be enough to make onechurrasqueira the favourite in a town. You can use any red chillies (red chilies in non British spelling) to make piri piri sauce, whether birds eye or otherwise. It will make no difference to the final flavour of your hot sauce. But you can control the final heat level with the type of chillies you use. So go for a hot chilli type or a mild one. Also, it is homemade, so you know exactly what's going into it. No additives or harmful ingredients. There is no cooking required, it's made by mixing up a handful of ingredients that blend so well together.

You can always add more Piri Piri pepper once you taste the result. How Long Can You Store Homemade Seasoning? Label your pili pili seasoning blend container with the date and name to help you easily identify it.Grill the peppers on the barbecue, turning regularly. Cook for approximately 5 minutes or until the skin is evenly charred. Cool, peel off the skin and discard the seeds, then dice into 1cm cubes. I’ve used all sorts of chillies to make this hot sauce: red jalapenos, cayenne peppers, and even mild kashmiris. But always with a few birds eye type chillies for heat. If you enjoy spicy food, add as much pepper as you want to it. Add just a little pepper if you're not a fan of it. The choice is completely up to you! The amount I’ve given below adds just a hint of smokiness and earthiness to our peri peri sauce. You can double up on this if you like smoky. You can also use hot smoked paprika, if you like it hot. Bay Leaf Instead of putting all the spices you can put them in a blender and pulse a couple of times to combine the spice mix.
