About this deal

Some foil electric shavers have difficulties when shaving a longer beard and you will need to work harder to capture all the hairs, especially if they grow in different directions. While talking with “Chris Bossio” and Loren the barber, none of them blamed the shaver although it doesn’t have a wet shaving feature since comfortable enough for dry shaving. You’ll be better off with a Braun shaver even if it means trading off a bit of closeness. Shaving longer facial hair

Apart from the shaver itself, the replacement blades + foil head are also cheaper for the Andis ProFoil compared to the BaBylissPRO FOILFX02. Also, one week between shaves is really a lot, so my advice would be to try and reduce that by a few days if the shave doesn’t go as smooth. Foil shavers also require a bit of a different technique (short, controlled, straight strokes against the grain), so it may take a bit until he gets the best results. As I’ve mentioned earlier, using a good pre-shave lotion will make this shaver even more comfortable and more effective at cutting the hairs with fewer strokes. In the next section, I’ll go over some of my favorite foil shavers; for each one, I will try to point out its key features and what exactly makes it a suitable option in a particular situation. One of the reasons why I managed to get such a close shave is that the FOILFX02 is also reasonably comfortable. Pros: 360-degree pivoting head | Autosense tech helps shave denser facial hair | Huge battery | Fully waterproof

The reliability of the foils also seems to be better compared to Wahl which is notorious for having brittle foils, but that remains to be seen as I continue using it. However, if the cost is similar to an Arc 5 ES-LV65-S, I recommend going for the latter in this case. The BaBylissPRO is fitted with a torquey 11000 rpm motor. This should provide plenty of cutting power even when shaving a coarse beard. The very fast-growing brand Babyliss used powerful technologies in their FoilFX shavers to deliver professional-grade shaving performance. I think the choice should be between the Panasonic shavers or the BaBylissPRO. I think the latter has a slight advantage when it comes to the closeness of a dry shave and the fantastic battery life, but for everything else (comfort, versatility, speed, wet/dry use), the Panasonic shavers have the edge. And more importantly, you’ll be able to decide whether a foil shaver would be suitable for your needs. While this may be the case against some low-end foil shavers, I haven’t found rotary razors to be significantly better in this regard compared to a similarly priced foil shaver.
