Also I’m obsessed with Danielle and Kevin and Honey-Belle and Gunther I love when there are side character romances. And the way they supported their friends was so heartwarming <3

That girl. Like I’m some pathetic nonfactor who means nothing to Tally. She obviously didn’t think I was worth mentioning to her new teammates. Her dark eyes sizzle like I’ve just said something offensive. “Do you know nothing?” she snaps. “You should never apologize after a car accident. It’s an admission of fault.”Irene is such a cool person. She's smart funny brave and headstrong. She won't take shit from anyone. Though she may appear all strong and evil, she is actually a cinnamon roll.🥺 I like the characters, I like the plot and I like the multiple not too subtle, but not too preachy messages this book conveys. It is going onto my list of best books I've ever read, which includes such classics as: All Quiet on the Western Front, The Dresden files series, The Eternal champion trilogy, Vampire Hunter D, The Great Gatsby, World War Z, Anne of Green Gables, Wizard's First Rule, The Golden Compass, The Corpus Hermeticum, The Han Solo Trilogy, At the Mountains of Madness, Our Man in Havana, Monsters you've Never Heard of, Barry Trotter and the Unauthorized Parody, The Hobbit, Annie on My Mind, Dave Barry does Japan, Shulz and Peanuts, and my all time favorite Belinda. The secondary characters were all great. I especially loved the wonderful and supportive tight-knit group of friends as I always do with Kelly Quindlen(excluding trashbag Clay from HNITS, of course.)

Scottie, our main character, isn’t always likeable. In fact, she can be a downright bitch at times. She makes mistakes, lashes out and hurts people but she has an amazing support network who want what’s best for her and help her begin to find herself again and heal from the aftermath of a toxic relationship. Additionally, her behaviour is not excused just because she was hurting and I loved seeing her accept responsibility for her actions.

Danielle knows how devastated I was after Tally broke up with me, and how I’ve just barely recovered. Between that and her competitive drive, Danielle is determined to win this game at all costs, even though we’ve lost to Candlehawk the last three years in a row. We lose most of our games, but it’s never stopped Danielle from dreaming of a winning season.best friends danielle and honey belle are great supporting personalities, too. and i was amazed by the warmth of scottie's loving, supportive family. having sisters must be an amazing thing.
