About this deal

Fast forward six months and we was in full swing upcycling a tuktuk into a mobile Rum bar for events and markets to showcase our love for Rum, quickly we realised there was allot of amazing Rums being produced in the UK and we wanted to support this by releasing taster kits containing 100% produced UK Rums. Whether you’re a connoisseur or keen to get more acquainted with Jack Sparrow’s favourite spirit, here’s our pick of the very best places to drink rum in the capital. More than just an atmospheric place to enjoy a few swigs, the bar also runs Rum School classes and cocktail masterclasses, which can be booked for groups of four or more. Gin fans may remember ELLC from our gin bars in London roundup, where we complimented the distillery’s sometimes surprising collaborations and gin experimentations.

This playful homage to all things Caribbean might not take itself too seriously, but its rum list means business. With tastings and rum masterclasses available, they’re one of the many rum specializing bars in London keen to share their knowledge and spread the good word about the spirit. All three of them boast over 150 rums, and the Manchester branch even has a dedicated 'rhum room' for the connoisseur. And with an Operations Manager (Lee Tan) who has over 20 years of experience, you know you’re in good hands. We’re written articles aplenty on where to drink cocktails in London, often highlighting some of the best cocktail bars in the world that just so happen to be in our humble capital.

Whether its fine dining at the big table or coffee on the waterfront terrace, Stanley’s offers a warm welcome at any time of day. Counting many celebs and younger members of the royal family among its regulars, Mayfair’s Mahiki is high on the list of places to be seen in the capital. Before you get onto the neats, make sure you try Rattle Skull Punch, though: a sublimely sweet number mixing spiced rum with apricot liqueur, passionfruit syrup, sugar cane syrup and fresh pineapple, lemon and mango juice. To craft this rum, we blend three different unaged rum marks, with fermentation times ranging from 30 hours up to 3 weeks. There’s even a Wimbledon on the menu that serves up strawberries and cream together in a rum-base cocktail.Thursdays are the absolute star of the show at this Deptford venue, though, as they offer up Five Pound Thursdays. Worthy Park Estate relied on its unique yeast strains and state of the art technology to produce this rum. You can also enjoy the Collonade, our outdoors space where you can admire the Titanic scale of the Tobacco Warehouse across the canal. There’s over 200 rums on offer, and they recently overhauled their 14-year-old tiki menu for contemporary tastes.

Yes, The Botanist is a chain, but the company has done a good job of sprucing up Bath’s Grade II* listed Octagon, a glorious, hidden building behind Milsom Street, which originally served as a private chapel when built in 1766. More than ever, bartenders are looking for spirits that stand out in a cocktail, without the use of artificial coloring or flavor additives. If you’re feeling decadent (and in this environment you should be), have a glass of absinthe, poured over a sugar lump on a slotted spoon. According to the CARICOM Rum Standard, Jamaican Excise Act, and Jamaica Rum GI, caramel color and water are the only additives allowed in the production of Jamaican rum. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask the bar staff to make you up a rum cocktail and let them go to town on the ingredients and presentation, you wont be disappointed.
