About this deal

The device is equipped with two different wavelengths of LED and far infrared, with wavelengths of 660nm (visible) and 850nm (invisible). The light waves penetrate deep into the skin tissue cells to promote blood circulation, revive enzymes, strengthen the blood and cell tissue metabolism, dilute facial discolouration and restore the cells for youthful vitality. It’s very easy. You need precision but not a lot of brain-power. Each pulse gives a small, brief, hot sensation. I find level five intensity is totally bearable and pain-free. My skin is sometimes pink afterwards but it fades within a few minutes and there’s no other irritation. Don’t forget to help nourish and heal afterwards with Nira Skin’s or your own favourite Hyaluronic serum and moisturiser on top! Effort & results

They look robotic — like a Stormtrooper’s headgear from Star Wars, if you will — and promise to give you clearer, smoother-looking skin. Called LED light masks, they are what they sound like: devices illuminated by LED lights that you wear over your face. ANLAN is a brand offering face toning devices for women, face cleansing appliances & brushes, and fitness electric stimulators to customers. Our ANLAN review dives deep into the brand and its collection. We’ll provide the details on the quantity, price, and more to help you decide if these products are your new must-haves. My biggest issue with at-home skincare devices is consistency. I’m all about instant gratification, and while most facial tools and gadgets promise speedy results, they ultimately don’t deliver. Cue to me falling off the bandwagon and whatever tool I tested collecting dust in the bottom of a drawer. There is one exception though, and that's microcurrent devices. With regular use they can provide a long-term firming and plumping benefit, but after just one session you'll notice your face looks immediately more lifted and sculpted too. Truly the best of both worlds—and the reason I'm religious about using a microcurrent device in my skincare routine. Next, it’s easy to accidentally pause or turn off the lights with the controller. That’s because it’s capacitive (it senses your skin) and you don’t have to physically touch it to alter the controls. But there’s an easy fix. Simply place the controller next to the canopy, within reach but safely away from your hands. There is some research, such as a study published in June 2015 in the journal Dermatology, that shows certain UV-free blue light devices can be used as a treatment for mild psoriasis. Similarly, a study published in September 2016 in the same journal found that blue LED light helped lessen eczema lesions. And the aforementioned review in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology notes they’re safe for people with skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis. You must use an electrotherapy conductive gel with the Trinity. Nuface released new conductor gels in July 2021. They contain skincare goodies as well as conducting the microcurrent into your skin. They promote these rather agressively, but there are cheaper options available if you find them too expensive, or if they cause skin reactions. Learn more about alternative Nuface gels here. Whichever gels you use, a session with the Trinity is pampering and relaxing, but not to be rushed. If you love a bit of indulgent self-care, it’s right up your street. Effort & results The Nuface Trinity demands discipline and is a high-effort device. So, consider if it suits your lifestyle best.

Another consideration is that you have a good skin-care regimen set in place to act in conjunction with light therapy. “This isn’t a good monotherapy. Light devices can help as long as they’re used with topicals or in-office treatments,” says Dr. Farber. Are There Any Risks to Using LED Masks? So, it’s clear the LYMA laser is a significant commitment, especially if you have multiple areas to treat. But it’s easy once embedded in your routine. I use it as part of my wind-down evening routine. It takes just a little concentration. You can watch TV, listen to a podcast or read as you use it. First up, it’s very time consuming. And especially so if you want to treat multiple or large body areas. But if you can dedicate the time, it’s easy to do as you watch TV, read, etc. On the other hand, blue light targets bacteria that cause acne, which can help stop the cycle of breakouts, notes research in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology from June 2017. Those are the two most common and popular colors used, but other masks on the market use additional light, such as yellow (to reduce redness) and green (to lessen pigmentation). Do LED Masks Actually Work?

Best LED Light Therapy Tools

Here’s another FDA-cleared device from Dr. Gross, which uses 72 LED lights. It’s best for someone who’s mainly concerned with eye-area fine lines and wrinkles. Because it isn’t a full-face treatment, it has a more reasonable price tag. DO NOT use this device to treat any other conditions apart from those listed in the indications for use. This device has not been tested for any other conditions than those listed, and the risk is unknown. Our test confirmed these results and found the microderm devices so much more effective than manual scrubs. It’s well worth the 20 to 30 minutes effort per week. Next, there’s not much evidence supporting the effect and results of DMA mode. So, how much this improves your results isn’t clear. If this irks you (as it does me) you could instead consider the slightly cheaper STOP Desire with multi-RF, but without DMA mode. Or the CurrentBody Skin RF device is an excellent alternative, too. You must dedicate 30 minutes every day for anti-ageing results on each treatment area. Plus extra to treat trouble spots of pigmentation, lines, scars and thread veins.

Second, the angular shape could be a little more comfortable to hold. But it’s not so noticeable because you’re done before it gets too tiring anyway. LED masks have an “excellent” safety profile, according to a review published in February 2018 in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology.

Top Beauty Tools to Know

Our GLO24K Skin Rejuvenation LED Beauty Device combines cutting-edge LED infrared, thermal and vibration technologies to generate age-defying benefits and assist in rejuvenating and beautifying your facial skin for a radiant, glowing complexion. You may see all these changes, or just a few and of varying impact, too. Your age, genetics, lifestyle and skin condition determine the significance of your results. I recommend you take before and after photos to compare how your skin changes. Another FDA-cleared device, this is designed to be used two or three times per week. The makers say its lights can treat fine lines and wrinkles, and boost elasticity in sagging skin. It’s handheld — not a mask — so it will take longer to treat your entire face.

Dr Joyce Park is a board-certified and founding dermatologist at virtual clinic Skin Refinery and content creator at TeawithMD. Solomon advises making sure that the LED light therapy device you buy is labeled as FDA-cleared. The Effects of Blue Light Are MurkyThe RF warmth leaves your skin feeling invigorated and pinky-red and plump afterwards. This fades gradually, and the next day it’s super-smooth and firm too, which lasts until the next session. Treat 5 days a week for the first 60 days. If you see good results and are happy, switch to 2 or 3 sessions per week to maintain your results.
