About this deal

Honestly though, I wouldn't have bothered picking this book up if I didn't see the freakin movie trailer. A movie will NEVER contain every single detail, every single backstory or side character plot development, or even scenes that were your favourite. Now separated by the Atlantic Ocean, Rosie and Alex dutifully remain in touch, looking forward to their reunion. I always listen to friend's recommendations (Unless they are entirely stupid and not my ideal genre) so I watched it while also texting back Sav and her hysterics.

That uncertainty, the fear of 'I don't know what I'm doing and now I realise that no one else does either', is crippling. There are so many spoilers and plot twists in this book, so if you don't want all of them shouted at you in bolded, italicised, underlined, caps, then don't proceed on UNTIL you have read the book for yourself! Love, Rosie follows childhood best friends Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Claflin) as they dance around their feelings for each other for more than a decade. Alex and Rosie calm down Katie and Alex tells her that if she doesn't respond to him correctly now, she will regret it for the rest of her life and keep looking for people who will just fail to be as good-enough for her. Rosie and her inability to listen to everyone's advice, to be a negative whiny person and to never do anything for herself.Having grown up forging an unbreakable bond built on trust, shared dreams and a deep understanding and appreciation of each other’s peccadillos, the friends together agree to leave their dull, suburban English lives behind for the bright lights and possibilities that Boston has to offer. A few years into adulthood, Rosie meets a bank manager named Greg whom she falls in love with because of his sweeping personality and because of how he takes such good care of her and Katie.

Overall, I felt that Love, Rosie (Where Rainbows End) was a truly irresistible and fabulous book, packed with vivid, lovable characters and real emotional attachment - it's hard not to become linked to a character when you see them age from early childhood to sixty. They were great characters that seemed like real people and were adorable and funny and everything that I want in a RomCom. But just remember this, true love exists, you can marry your best friend and don’t wait, there won’t be a right time for things like love, okay? Love, Rosie is a captivating story of two childhood best friends, Alex and Rosie who were pretty much destined to fall in love with each other. It was a smart move, but at the same time, there were a lot that had to be cut or adjusted just to make it work. But destiny is a funny thing, and in this novel, structured as a series of clever e-mails, letters, notes, and a trail of missed opportunities, Alex and Rosie find out that fate isn't done with them yet. My heart broke when I saw the woman I love turning away from me to walk down the aisle with another man, a man she planned to spend the rest of her life with. Alex applies for a scholarship at Harvard to be a doctor, and Alex applies to a Boston University to study her dream career; A hotel manager. If you’ve read the book before watching the movie, I think you’d be a tad bit disappointed with the movie but if you’ve never read the book and you decide that you will watch the movie, I think you’ll enjoy it! So I wanted to strangle them much all of the book, because I knew that destiny would want them together.
