About this deal

The DivaCup includes a pamphlet with thorough instructions on how to fold, insert, remove, and clean the cup. Like others, you should boil it before you first use it, but unlike many others, it says you don’t have to boil it between every use as long as you clean it with soap and water. Its silicone material is easy to fold yet is firm enough to pop open once inserted, and all testers said it felt durable and long-lasting. Except for the two sizes that our customers asked for, the new flexible Ziggy disposable menstrual disc has a ribbed tab for slip-free removal. The reinforced, flexible, petal-thin body is also made for easier insertion and better adaptation to the shape of the vaginal canal. Naše výrobky jsou vyvíjeny podle nejvyšších mezinárodních norem kvality a bezpečnosti, respektují a udržují zdraví žen a přirozenou rovnováhu.“ All testers experienced some leaks, however—nothing too terrible, “just a tiny bit, about the same amount as a tampon would during [a moderate flow] day,” one tester wrote. The finger tab also diminishes its liquid capacity somewhat when compared to other cups—both cups retain a few milliliters less than their counterpart sizes in AllMatters, per our tests and the brands’ specs. So if you have a very heavy flow and want to wear a cup for its max 12-hour time limit, you may want to go with another brand. Of all the cups we tested, MeLuna offers the most customization: It sells a standard cup in four sizes and a ”shorty” cup, for users with low cervixes, also in four sizes. It also lets you choose whether you want a stem, ring, or ball grip and offers standard or “sport” firmness in all cup sizes, with the “sport” being firmer for athletic users who ostensibly have stronger pelvic walls. It also comes in three colors—blue, purple, and untinted.

The rim diameter is 75 mm long by 65 mm at the sides. Although it may seem wide, discs are folded and positioned differently than a standard menstrual cup. Because I loved the silicone case, I still use mine: the new cups sit perfectly one in side the other, and then with a little bit of a squeeze, they fit in the old silicone case. At the time of originally writing this review, I’d been very fortunate for the previous couple of years: I’d escaped ‘the curse’ for all those months, thanks largely to breastfeeding. Alas, it couldn’t go on forever and as my youngest turned two, so Mother Nature decided we’re ready for another child (she’s wrong, by the way – we’re not). However, it’s possible to find your cervix, if you're so inclined to try. First, wash your hands. Then, Esguerra recommends getting into a position where you feel comfortable—maybe squatting or having a foot hiked up on the toilet seat—and gently insert your longest finger into the vagina and advance it until you feel something firm. “A lot of people will describe the feeling of their cervix as feeling like the tip of their nose,” says Esguerra. “It feels very different from a vaginal wall, which is soft and pliable. If a woman isn’t sure if she’s finding her cervix, I would do a systematic, 360-degree [motion]. Anything that’s firm, that’s probably your cervix.” Our first-generation Ziggy line will soon be replaced by the Ziggy A and B on our webshop, so hurry if you want to keep this period product in your collection. New Ziggy loves nature! The very long video review covers how the test went for an entire cycle including, yes, MESS-FREE PERIOD SEX! The Good However, some cups aren’t made out of silicone so make sure you know how to clean that particular material. Between uses during your period van Eijk, A., et al. (2019). Menstrual cup use, leakage, acceptability, safety, and availability: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

The Ziggy Cup arrives in a large, hard plastic, clamshell case, along with a small silicone carrying/storage case, and a user manual. Who is it Meant For? Since you can use it for 12 hours, it is indeed possible to wear the Ziggy Menstrual Cup overnight. If you previously had to get up during the night of your heaviest flow to deal with your period, try out this one and you’ll likely notice the difference. Tip #10: Consider Using for a Really Heavy Period The reservoir is where the menstrual flow is collected and contained until the disc is emptied. This area is very thin and flexible and is how it is possible to have penetration without obstructions. Like I said, I’m a bit wary when it comes to period cups. I was sent both sizes A and B. I tried size A on the second day of my period and was very doubtful. It was comfortable enough, but it leaked and didn’t seem to be getting the job done. I was feeling disappointed and discouraged, but I figured I’d give the other size a try.

In theory, it’s not really possible to get that full capacity because it’ll leak, and/or be extremely difficult to remove when it’s entirely full. That said, even if you fill it up only 2/3 of the way, 50 ml is more than any other menstrual up on the market today. Buy it Today Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t think sex needs any other internal tools. On any day of the month. If you have specific questions I’ve not answered above, hopefully you’ll find the answers below. If not, feel free to drop any others you may have in the comments below and I’ll be happy to help you out! What is the best menstrual disc for a low cervix?
