About this deal

Go to [WAN] > [Internet Access], select the correct Access Mode for your ISP, in this example PPPoE Vigor 130 modems provide BT Superfast Fibre and ADSL2+ capability and feature one LAN port. This is the standard modem design. Most ISPs currently use PPPoE connections with the FTTC service and this guide will cover the configuration of that on a DrayTek router with an Ethernet WAN interface. In any problem state, it's usually best to use a wired (RJ45/Ethernet) connection rather than wireless. If you cannot access the web interface of your Vigor router, here are some possible causes:

Go to [WAN] - [Internet Access] in the web interface and set the WAN interface to be used with the Vigor 130 and set the Access Mode to PPPoE mode: I'm not too bothered by the Vigor 130 having a 100Mbs interface, as the fastest my FTTC runs is 73Mbps, but I did connect the Billions to my pfSense router using the 1Gbps interfaces (just because it was there). Personally I don't think you can get a more reliable modem at the moment on the market than the Vigor 130 in my opinion.

Setting up Internet access via a Vigor 130 modem is a straightforward process so hopefully everything should go smoothly. However, below are a few tips that cover some possibilities: Running Mode: The xDSL mode being used, i.e. ADSL, ADSL2+ or VDSL: 8a, 17a, 30a Status: SHOWTIME indicates that the line is in synch. DS Interleave Depth: Shows the Interleave depth if line is using Interleaving US Interleave Depth: Shows the Upstream Interleave depth if line is using Interleaving

For whatever reason, it looks like the DLM has applied a banded profile capping the downstream speed at 74Mb. So nothing you can do will immediately restore the speed, but if you remove the problem, the DLM might eventually remove the banding. Interesting that you have a HH5A as that is a Lantiq chipset like the 130 but you don't experience any issues with it. I've also taken a look at the information you have provided and, yes, I agree with ejs that it appears your circuit has been banded. In this example, the WAN2 interface has successfully connected to the Internet, which indicates that the VLAN tag on the Ethernet WAN port is being passed through correctly.

Provides Annex A modem code 572d07 & 570e01, and Annex B modem code 565607 & 567002.Recommended for Netherlands. (G.Vectoring) 3.9.8.4-07v To show more detailed line statistics, enter "vdsl status more" (or "adsl status more" for an ADSL line) If it's going to be used to connect a router without its own modem, the Vigor 130 and Vigor 166 are ideal, they work as VDSL / G.fast to Ethernet modems out of the box.
