About this deal

They have done this by using a similar design to the Rival Zeus’s inline magazine but merged 3 of them together. The difference is that in the Zeus you can remove the magazine, but it is only 10 rounds. The fixed magazine is actually really well thought out too. Yes, you cannot swap it out in the way you can with a mag fed blaster, but I rarely found this an issue. The Nerf Rival Hades XVIII -6000 is a sleek and stylish blaster with solid construction. The weapon is made of durable plastic and can be easily modified with rails and other attachments that can be attached to the blaster.

The Artemis is a pump-action blaster that features three integrated magazines that hold ten High-Impact Rounds each, and a front turret system that rotates on the prime. It also has the ability to be slam fired for a higher rate of fire. Like other RIVAL blasters, a safety mechanism is located just next to the trigger. There are three separate loading holes because these are three (sort of) independent magazines. I found it was best to load one in each repeatedly rather than put all the rounds into one before moving on to the next due to the way the loading mechanism works (we will go into this later). The Rival Artemis comes out of the box completely assembled, and because it’s spring-powered there isn’t even the need to add batteries. Just load up and go. This is not too bad, but once in awhile, I found myself dry-fire and then have two rounds pop out a prime or two later.

If it makes you feel any better, jams are usually very rare. If you are smart with your Nerf guns, you’ll never have that problem with the Nerf Rival Hades. Rotating barrels

However, the Rival Hades is a huge Nerf blaster; it may even be bigger than any other blaster you know. Therefore, there may be better options for smaller kids. Slam Fire Another thing you’ll notice if you’ve upgraded from a NERF dart blaster is that Rival rounds just don’t seem to jam. I’ve not had a single one jam ever. These foam balls are really durable, too. The Hades feels tremendous to hold, but that’s not all. The grip is very comfortable. Loading, firing, and ignition also work perfectly, and the weight is efficiently balanced when you hold it in your hand. The efficiency of the Nerf Rival Hades The Rival Hades has a single fire and a slam fire feature. Like many other Nerf blasters, the Rival Hades is a spring-powered pump-action blaster and belongs to the Phantom Corps category. The Hades can hold about 60 rounds with its built-in magazine. It has almost the same shape, size, and features as the Rival Artemis.Plus, the speed is still quite high compared to most non-Rival nerf blasters, and you can compete with it quite efficiently. Pros: This rotation helps you pull out the next round of magazines during rivalry rounds. This process makes for a smooth shooting experience, which is why you never experience jammed loads. This was only when I was going nuts with slam fire, which is most jams and malfunctions occur but I did not get any actual jams, just this, which is not too bad when you consider the amount of grief I was giving it! Power and Accuracy With that in mind, it’s good to know that the NERF Rival Hades will always give you one of the best shooting experiences. Igniting and shooting with the Rival Hades is an exhilarating experience. Priming At the front is the cool rotating barrel thing, which rotates the four barrels every time you prime it. This is not just for the looks, it is how it is pulling the ammo out of the magazines.

round internal capacity is more difficult and time consuming to reload as opposed to magazine-fed Rival Blasters. There are also 4 smaller rotating barrels in the muzzle on the front of the blaster. These barrels will rotate every time you arm the gun. Firing is the real thrill of the Nerf Rival Battles, although the firing performance always depends on the specification of the NERF blaster.

Verdict

The Artemis XVII-3000 is named after Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, forests and hills, the moon, and archery. Artemis is also the twin sister of Apollo, which the Apollo XV-700 was named after. That’s because its accuracy makes up for its speed on the range, hitting the farthest targets with precision. It has enough ammo that you are unlikely to run out in a single melee and it is easier to reload than it is to reload a magazine (especially the one like the Khaos!) as you can top it up from a dump pouch pretty fast while in cover. Plus you can still leave a few shots in the chamber so you are not entirely defenseless.

Pump action for single shots but if you hold the trigger after firing, you have a nigh constant semi-auto effect known as slam fire. Meaning more and faster shots. The Artemis was the first RIVAL blaster to be named after a female Greek deity; both the Hera MXVII-1200 and Nemesis MXVII-10K followed suit later that year.As a bonus, if you still have rounds in the Ferris wheel mechanism, you can still shoot while loading – three extra rounds to defend yourself is great! The clear tubes in the rear are where the ammo is stored. These are not removable magazines like the Zeus or Apollo, they are integrated into the blaster. For accessories, there’s just a single rail along the top. The Rival rails look like a standard ‘Picatinny’ rail, as used on real firearms, but they’re actually a different size. Some non-NERF accessories will fit, but it’s a case of trial and error. Sadly the official NERF Rival accessories lineup currently only consists of a red-dot sight and a combined flashlight and grip. As with all Rival models, the Artemis is available in a choice of red or blue, with the intention being that your weapon’s colour denotes which side you’re on. It’s quite a nice idea as long as you’re always on the same side – otherwise you’ll need to buy one in each colour, eh? So when you prime it the barrels rotate like a Ferris wheel and the spring-loaded magazines push the rounds forward from the magazines. Initially, it will feed on the right magazine until this is depleted. Once it has emptied the right, it moves to the center and then the left.
