About this deal

The complete list of ingredients and full instructions for making this recipe can be found on the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post. How to make dried orange peel

Try this honey pear margarita! It’s on the sweeter side thanks to the honey. Even non-tequila drinkers will want a sip! Put your well-pierced pear into a sterilised jar that it fits into quite snugly and will allow you to add the vodka, orange peel and spices.

After 7 to 14 days, taste the vodka. If it has achieved your desired pear flavor, strain the liquid through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove the fruit pieces. When making pear vodka, the quality of your ingredients can have a direct impact on the final product. Start by selecting ripe, fresh pears for the most flavorful infusion. There are several varieties of pears available in markets, with the Bartlett, Bosc, and Anjou being popular choices. The Bartlett is the most commonly used pear for its sweetness and juiciness, while the Bosc and Anjou varieties have a more subtle, sophisticated flavor profile. Quality Vodka Matters

With mellow pear, warm ginger, subtle honey sweetness, citrus lemon, and a generous splash of boozy bourbon, this drink is fall in a glass. Pear vodka is sold by several different brands. Some common brands are Absolut Pear Vodka and Grey Goose La Poire Vodka. You can also find Wild Roots, Skyy, Smirnoff, Veil, and more. The vodka is very clean and fresh, and shows some pepper and a bit of wet stone minerality, along with a very slight hint of anise. Add it to this Fig Moscow Mule or this Apple Pear Martini. Or my favorite - make an extra boozy apple cider mimosa. Add a shot of this to a glass with champagne (or prosecco) and apple cider. So good!

Pear– Yes just one pear for this pear liqueur recipe. I have used a large pear of the William variety, though any type of pear will do really. They all have their own flavour. Make sure that your pear is ripe and juicy and unblemished.

Infused vodka is the alcoholic version of Hint water. When flavor additives are added to vodka, you don’t get the real, natural pear flavor. Instead, you’re probably drinking the chemical version that was concocted in a lab, so it tastes like pear, but it’s not the real deal. When you infuse vodka, you add fruit, spices, or herbs and let the vodka sit for up to three weeks. This gives the vodka plenty of time to absorb tons of natural, sweet, and herby flavors. Even better, infused alcohol honestly couldn't be easier to make. Essentially, all you have to do is add your flavorings, let it infuse anywhere from a few days to a few weeks (depending on the recipe), then strain really well and store! You can infuse just about any liquor, all though some are better suited than others. Vodka is our go-to choice - it well-suited for just about any flavor combo. Plus, it's always easy to find, relatively cheap and we always seems to have an extra handle sitting around the house! I first published this recipe in 2014 and have made it every year since. I always tweak my recipes over the years if I can improve them in any way and found that I could get the same result with this one by using a shorter time.
