The Science department GCSE folder on FROG has boardworks presentations and test-style revision questions with answers for each topic. As a former drummer in a local band, Daniel Wiseman could be described as someone who moves to his own beat. UNIT 1 - Living in the Wider World- Careers and Emplyability. The law and consequences. Connexions are an Ealing Careers Advice Service, who work incredibly close with the school on a weekly basis, to ensure that students are given the opportunity for one-on-one Careers advice, as well the chance for drop-ins. We have a dedicated advisor who works with the PSHE lead, Pastoral & 6 thForm term and Learning Support team to ensure our students are given the bestguidance,relevantto their needs.This is primarily focused upon our KS4 and KS5 students, to support them with their Post-16 options for higher and further education and employment. Connexions are also present at our Year 9 options evening events and GCSE & A-Level Results days. Wiseman, who now has a family of five, admitted he is not nearly as confident in his writing as his illustrating, but is enjoying it all. He is amazed at getting to do what he enjoys after years of hard work. And he gets paid for it and gets additional perks like visiting schools to show his books.

Well-Being Fortnight events- throughout the year, PSHE will run 2 Well-Being fortnights where clubs and workshops during every lunch break and afterschool will take place. Exciting opportunities to try something new and promote positive mental, physical and emotional well-being. Workshops have included: Besides books – including getting to illustrate the recently popular and best-selling book “ The World Needs More Purple People” – the Sequoyah Hills author is also drawing some storyboard panels for the new Powell park, Angora Frog Farm. Topics include: Personal Development, Online Safety, Law and Crime, Money Management & Finance, Young people and media and Careers and Employability skills. Wiseman Well-being Wednesdays -Weekly Whole School Enrichment - - opportunities to learn about well-being and current affairs.A highlight for Wiseman came when Bell was promoting the book on “The Tonight Show.” Host Jimmy Fallon complimented the artwork, and Wiseman heard his name mentioned. Please note that all pupils have access to ‘FROG’ and ‘Kerboodle’ (containing the online textbook for the GCSE course), which I would strongly encourage them to utilise: I don’t get to be on these shows but sometimes my name is,” he joked, adding that he draws his illustrations by tracing a stylus on a computer tablet.

After several years of working a variety of jobs – including the not-so-inspiring ones of bartending, restaurant serving and telemarketing – he is now enjoying the very satisfying career of getting to be creative in the book world. In fact, his own story might make for a good book, too. Themes include, Well-Being, Careers and Creativity.
