Within 24 hours we noticed the dogs on the pilot were calmer, the noise level of barking had dropped significantly and the dogs seemed more relaxed. Most of the dogs were clean in their kennels within that time span, although a couple took a few more days to learn. Located on a prominent corner of the campus, the PAW Centre is a gateway showpiece for the university. In addition to the new building, existing buildings were renovated to accommodate new program space. The new and old buildings are connected by an atrium-like Social Street, incorporating student services to activate and energize a pedestrian thoroughfare that will serve as a major access point to the campus. Facilities, such as the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre have the potential to educate a large number of young people (and their parents), some of whom will go on to fill positions of authority and therefore influence the future of the country and its conservation policies.
PAWS was located in the Todmorden area and covered a 15 mile radius of the town centre. We are well known for our coffee mornings, having a market stall, organising local events such as dog shows, fetes, Christmas Fairs and offering help to those in need in terms of food to local food banks, help with cat neutering vouchers and giving advice on rehoming and adoption. We rehome widely across the region and take in animals within our catchment area. However, following a notice of our landlord regarding re-possession of Eastwood Road, which we rented, a search began in earnest to ensure the long-term continuation of PAWS’ services to the local communities. The biggest doggy daycare centre in the whole of the UK, it offers both indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as classes for dog owners to learn and have fun.

When the meteor creates a super-cat with all of the pup’s powers, the Mighty Pups must harness their new charged up superpowers to take down the villainous Copycat. Now you can charge up your PAW Patrol adventures with brand new Charged Up Hero Pups and vehicles. The biggest difference we have seen is when the dogs were moved to the rehoming yard. Whilst other dogs not on the scheme continued to jump up and bark as people passed, the Open Pawdogs remained calm, sitting at the front of their kennels looking forward to the next visitor, or just relaxing on their beds. Because it can be expensive to get animals ready for the UK, we try and only prepare our animals for UK travel once someone falls in love with them. Once they meet the dog outside the kennel they make a decision within 8 minutes. They like to be able to play with the dog and once play is over, they like the dog to lie quietly beside them.

The project began with demolition in November 2012, which took six months to complete. The new facility was handed over to the University of Alberta in multiple phases.
