About this deal

There were a few rather tense moments in this book which had me gasping but throughout I had the sense of needing to know what was going to happen next and didn’t want to put the book down (I buddy read this and it was tough to limit myself to the set number of chapters a day) Watch Edinburgh Castle transform into a winter spectacle with the Castle of Light . The event is a great way for the whole family to get into the Christmas spirit with enchanting installations, twinkling lights and colourful displays galore. Next, you can head over to Buchanan Street where the House of Fraser is draped in golden Christmas lights. Just across from House of Fraser sits Princes Square which is decorated wonderfully for the season. Scotland knows how to celebrate Christmas in style. The countdown to Christmas is well and truly on!

Julie Caplin is one of my newest favourite authors and I have adored this whole series (although you can read each book on its own). With Christmas markets across Scotland opening to the public, the festive season is well and truly beginning. There’s a reason they set horror movies in castles,” he tells her, trying to warn her off. “There are 50 fireplaces, half work. It leaks after every rain and it rains 150 days a year.” His bedroom looks pretty nice, though (below):

My family plays Hallmark Christmas movie BINGO each year, and “Fake Snow” is always an easy square to score. They filmed in the fall and had to use artificial snow here, but I thought it was pretty believable: Joy Behar Was Totally Lost On 'The View' As Whoopi Goldberg Tried To Make An Argument About Men And Abortion: "What Is The Point?"Colgan, Jenny (November 26, 2021). Well this book was a bit of a romantic rollercoaster! There was a constant will they won’t they vibe going on with Ross and Izzy and it felt more and more likely that it was going to head to the friendship side of things rather than a romance. Especially with the Christmas chaos that soon ensued! How 'The Buccaneers' Crafted Josie Totah and Mia Threapleton’s "Joyful" Queer Romance: "Never Even a Discussion" Real Housewives Of Potomac' Star Ashley Darby Isn't Mad That Sonja Morgan Stole Her Owen Wilson Thunder At BravoCon: She Knew "His Fetishes"Oh—and for all the other diehard Netflix holiday romcom heads out there, A Castle for Christmas has a connection to the larger A Christmas Prince-iverse that is totally incongruous, unnecessary, excessive, and confusing— and I loved it. At this point, Netflix—or actually MPCA, the production company that makes all these movies—definitely knows what they are doing and I swear, if this doesn’t lead to Brooke Shields teaming up with a bunch of Vanessas Hudgens to save the kingdom of Aldovia from Sir Cole’s archenemy, the Christmas dragon, I will riot. Writing for Variety, Courtney Howard called the film "gently disarming, heartening, holiday-themed escapism" and that it kept "genre-patented shenanigans and hijinks to a bare minimum, which is both a blessing and a curse." [12] Writing for The Guardian, Jenny Colgan said there was "no jeopardy in this film at all: it is absolutely perfect for low-maintenance Christmas viewing" and that it was "lovely to see two great-looking actors who aren’t in the full flush of youth falling for one another." [13] Gabriella Geisinger of Digital Spy said that the actors "manage to imbue their characters with a believable earnestness that belies the over cheese" and noted that the film was "mostly devoid of any socio-political landscape, which is a bit odd when a film is built on a system as controversial as aristocracy." [14] The National said that the "main characters are obnoxious, the class politics are extremely dubious and the portrayal of rural village life incredibly patronising," but that "if you haven’t watched Cary Elwes try to catch fake snowflakes on his tongue, you haven’t lived." [15] The imitations of Scottish accents and use of Scottish words and terms also met with mixed reactions. Part of the fun of this movie is seeing the lavish Christmas decorations. Production Designer Pat Campbell made the castle look as festive as possible:
