About this deal

Hello Alpharius though my sources and operatives i have obtained harrow master early and finished reading it and wanted to share about its new lore with the legion. I will not be including everything only items of note i found interesting or of relevance please excuse the poor editing and organization Read it for: An epic duel between two of the greatest fighters to ever walk the battlefield. Renegades: Harrowmaster

Harrowmaster revels in the deep lore of the WH40K universe. While the battles are underwhelming, the novel surprisingly delivers involved politics, internecine feuds and a few delightful easter eggs. The author doesn’t try to justify its protagonist villains but also shies away from the recent trend of whitewashing the Imperium. Instead, he reminds us that there are no good factions, just less bad ones. Now that’s grimdark. Next week on Warhammer Community we are going to start taking a look at the rules of the different forces in Legions Imperialis, alongside a variety of great articles focusing on new reveals and a range of painting content. Sigismund is one of the greatest warriors of the Horus Heresy – First Captain of the Imperial Fists, and among the most feared duelists in the galaxy. Discover his earliest battles and the wars that shaped him into the Emperor’s Champion in this rare glimpse of the mortal life behind one of the most iconic characters in Warhammer.Sons of Venom - Biowarfare specialists,’ Solomon told him. ‘They believe that their method of war is the ultimate realisation of the Legion’s principles.’ I think this excerpt is interesting for a couple of reasons. First, it shows a variety of different factions within the Alpha Legion, from straight-up renegades to obvious Chaos marines, and how they can still work together. Second, it shows how they have a tendency to get lost in subterfuge for subterfuge's sake. Third, everyone laughing at the "I am Alpharius" guys is just funny, but I also really like the idea that the Alpha Legion is generally okay with it as a tradition, as long as nobody tries to use the Alpharius bit to tell the others what to do.

I am not Alpharius.’ He stared around the chamber, letting them hear the words, and understand the weight of them. ‘We, of all the Legions, should be able to reach beyond our progenitor. Whatever plan the primarchs had for us, if ever they did, must be adapted for this new era. It is time for us to forge our own destiny, and become a Legion again in more than just name.’ Since the halcyon days of the Great Crusade, the proud Lamertine, fierce Helvintr, and cunning Radrexxus families have found great profit – and even greater adventures – thanks to their Warrants of Trade. Yet now the galaxy is changed, ripped in two by the birth of the Great Rift , and Roboute Guilliman himself demands that they find a way to cross the Cicatrix Maledictum. Six warbands originally released for Warhammer Underworlds are coming out without their cards, so you can add them to your Warhammer Age of Sigmar army. Grab the Starblood Stalkers for your Seraphon , the Crimson Court for your Soulblight Gravelords , Khagra’s Ravagers for your Slaves to Darkness , Hedkrakka’s Madmob for your Orruk Warclans , Kainan’s Reapers for your Ossiarch Bonereapers , and Elathain’s Soulraid (including should-have-been Miniature of the Year Duinclaw) for your Idoneth Deepkin . Sons of Behemat – Japan Only Now 10,000 years later Renegades: Harrowmater shows us how far the Hydra has splintered as the Alpha Legion truly wages the Long War. They're a disparate group of war bands with differing ideologies that are as fascinating as they are diverse. In the fact of Primaris Space Marines, however, they'll need to unify. The new starter set features the Farstriders, veteran Stormcast Eternals armed with powerful boltstorm pistols, and the Sepulchral Guard, undead tomb wardens who overwhelm their foes with sheer numbers. The step-by-step instructions guide players through their first games, steadily introducing new rules and game mechanics until pure novices become seasoned veterans.

The Alpha Legion has always had a special place in my heart since I read Alpharius: Head of the Hydra. That exploration of the first primarch to be recovered, if you believe him, was a fascinating look at a very practical legion that relies as much on subterfuge as they do combat. Taking the primarch’s name is a tradition when the role is what is important, not the identity of the speaker,’ he reminded them all. ‘Our brother speaks for the Faceless in this council, his true identity need not concern us beyond that. He has every right to assume the name Alpharius, so long as he does not seek to command us with it.’ The legendary Cadian 8th – the former regiment of Lord Castellan Ursarkar Creed – were thought lost when their homeworld fell to Abaddon the Despoiler. Until a relic of the lost regiment turns up in the hands of Captain Arminka Lesk and the Cadian 101st, and with it the chance to right a wrong in the Cadians’ tumultuous past.
