About this deal

And it wouldn't be a book by Ms. Snow without the priceless banter and hilarious and sharp-tongued exchanges between the main characters that make this story pretty darn entertaining!

When Eliza shows up one morning at the Seventh Street Wired Cup location for a cup of coffee and to chat with her favorite barista, Wayne, she is appalled by the way his manager speaks to him, and when she has finally heard enough, she gives that manager a piece of her mind. Cole is taken by surprise when he finds a customer inserting herself and her unsolicited opinions into his meeting, and he soon finds himself steaming mad. But when Cole discovers Eliza’s talent with coffee, he knows she has what it takes to bring excitement to their brand again. Cole and Eliza dance around their attraction to one another as they work to develop Wired Cup’s new menu. They are hot and cold, but eventually, their shared love of coffee and their attraction to one another lead to passion. They eventually find a happy ending. Lincoln and Dakota are spending more and more time together. Now they are working together on a wedding proposal for the company. They both realize they can sell the idea of marriage better than some strangers - models who they may be higher. However, both have had heartache in the past and both are afraid to open their hearts towards each other. Until Jenn scratches his armor, but not enough at first. Until showing Miles how he has been wrong about them together, by not trusting her enough to open up the can of his past wounds, even if they are still very raw because of a pang of unwarranted guilt. He damaged what could be.

See a Problem?

So people who inherit a "dinasty" and come from a billionaire families are usually surrounded by said family. They're also super traditional and family oriented. I thought after he had lost his wife, his parents died in a horrific accident.. no no, nothing as exciting and entertaining as that.... Dakota Poe, twenty-four, has a lot of attitude. The jaded blonde beauty has a super sweet side, but she also has a strong feisty streak that won’t be tamed. She recently moved to Seattle and hopes to make it her forever home. She comes from Dallas, North Dakota. Many of Dallas’s younger folks eventually move away to bigger cities, but until last spring, Dakota had hoped to stay. Jay Foyt broke her heart and forever crushed her dreams of a happily ever after when he failed to show up on their wedding day. Being abandoned and humiliated is hard to live down in a small town. She no longer believes in love, so she is working on her career. She pounced on the opportunity when presented with a job offer in Seattle, but the pay leaves something to be desired and the work is not rewarding. She is therefore looking for something better. Dakota loves writing, and like her distant relative, she gravitates toward poetry. Being related to Edgar Allen Poe has long led to jokes, but she shares in the dark vibe of her ancestor. She won the Young National Poet’s award while in high school, and she hopes to eventually find more time to pursue her poetry. Since then Snow aims for the very best in growly, heart-of-gold alpha heroes, unbelievable suspense, and swoon storms aplenty. This book is filled with all kinds of emotions and I felt each one of them anger, hatred, love, and loss. Also, what type of educated billionaire speaks in such a way? No eloquent speech. No, just curse words and all kinds of masculine stereotypes. All the time! Who calls a woman lady constantly?

This is book four in the Bossy Seattle Suits series about bossy billionaires and the quirky women they fall for. This series follows the Chicago-based Bad Chicago Bosses series. Though this Seattle series is somewhat similar, it does have a slightly different feel. I have loved every book written by Nicole Snow, and this one did not fail. This author has the ability to write couples that are imperfect but perfect for each other. This book had so many emotions in it, like sadness, lust, love, and intrigue. The "witty banter" was in fact, not witty at all. It was a bit cringe-inducing and to be honest, if I had a new hire speak to me the way Poe continued to speak to Lincoln, she would've been fired the first week. I tired of the cinnamon roll jokes in the first two chapters as well as the constant references to her last name, Poe.Jennifer Landers has lost her Grams (Lottie). She really connected with this woman and now she is gone… except, from the grave, she is giving Jenn a chance to live the remarkable life that Grams had. On Pinnacle Pointe, a beautiful, tranquil small town Grams built a life for her family, built and ran Bee Harbor a B & B, and became an intricate part of the community. Grams left Jennifer this magical though totally rundown property. Jen left behind her unfulfilled but successful career and plans to run the Bee Harbor. Gram also left Jenn with two rambunctious Dobermans, Coffee and Cream. They are totally adorable and full of mischief. This book was more than just Enemy to lovers. This had office romance, sexy neighbor, grandmother interference, grumpy billionaire and sunshine. Eliza is a young single woman working short term jobs just to survive. She is addicted to brewing flavorful coffee, to hopefully somehow get the money to open her own coffee shop.

Eliza makes her own coffee recipes, and they're amazing - she really should be doing something with those flavors, the blends she makes. Then the grumpiest asshole walks into the coffeeshop where she's just been judging her friend's coffeemaking, and intrigues and pisses her off when he insults her friend. He may have tried to tell her he was the owner of the coffee chain, but it didn't really matter, he was still a jerk. A gorgeous jerk, but a jerk nonetheless. So why does she take him up on his outrageous offer to come work in his lab, creating delicious coffee? Why would she work for such a grump? Not because he has the most amazing, snarky teenaged daughter, and happens to be hotter than the hottest cup of coffee she's ever tasted?I've read most of the books Ms. Snow has written and this is only the third book I've given a 1 or 2-star rating. I usually love her books. In fact, the last book I read by her, "No Fair Lady," I had this to say in my review: Stunning, incredible, breath-taking, masterpiece. My sweet tooth betrayed me, and Lincoln Burns is one bad sugar rush. A coldhearted grump. A mile-wide ego. An eligible bachelor who doesn't “do” dating. Did I mention Mr. Congeniality runs a fashion empire with weddings in its sights? Of course he does. And, of course, weddings make me gag after my ex made my heart roadkill. Am I rating this 4 stars because it's objectively good? Or because I was specifically in the mood for an office romance and this hit each and every spot for me? We will never know. Somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. This was pretty good. I really enjoyed the first 70%. The banter was wonderful, the steam was on point. I liked the characters, Eliza and Cole make a great couple and Destiny is adorable. It was instalust, and there is forbidden romance going on too since he becomes her boss. I also really loved learning more about coffee, it spoke to my addiction to caffeine beautifully. Full-length enemies-to-lovers romance loaded with uh-ohs. Office banter, pastry mischief, slow-burn spice, plus one bossy suit who might stop stomping around long enough to realize he's falling hopelessly in love.

This is such a good Nicole Snow series. Like, amazing. She's so hit or miss. This series? Fantastic. Every book has been awesome, and this one was super awesome. Just like with the rest of the books of the series, it's enemies to lovers, and it does have some amazing banter and fun sections. It reads as a standalone, but I recommend starting from the beginning of the series because you'll get mentions here and there. Just an FYI: Snow's whole library of books is interconnected, so she'll reference all kinds of people from other books.Pretend we’re engaged. Smile for pretty photos like we’re soulmates. Dress up like we’re actually getting married. Miles was sure he could buy the inn with offer nobody would refuse except her new neighbor just did. He couldn't believe previous owner's granddaughter was gorgeous red head. He would have to figure out a way to buy her so he could have his land. The FMC (can't even remember her name other than last name Poe) needs a change of pace and so she has an interview for a marketing position in an up and coming, though locally well-known company. Prior to going to her interview, she runs to a coffee shop to get a coffee and cinnamon roll and inadvertently gets the last one. Enter super hot guy with an ax to grind because there is no more of the pastries. Lo and behold, who shows up to her interview? Super hot guy, Lincoln. She ends up with the job and then a fake proposal comes into play to help launch a wedding line. Insert tropes of fiesty female lead with baggage and a male lead with a tortured soul who believes he's not good enough for girl. We didn’t exactly hit it off when he showed up with an offer to buy my land and my hyperactive dogs yanked my robe open right in front of him. ONE BOSSY DARE is written around the fascinating world of crafted coffees with Eliza being something of an artist in roasting delicious concoctions of beans. She has an unfortunate first meeting with Cole, the CEO of his family’s coffee empire in Seattle.
