Open the valve on the CO2 cylinder to inject gas into the cylinder. You will hear gas flowing into the cylinder. Stainless steel corrugated hoses with the pre-assembled cylinder valve adaptor. Working pressure up to 300 bar. Robust design according to ISO 10380. The male/output thread on the adapter is made to DIN477 / JIS m22-14 / W21.8-14 / .860"x1/14 (covers UK, Europe and Asia) specifications, which will fit industry standard regulators.

Holding the SodaStream cylinder firmly with one hand, tighten the adapter/regulator to the cylinder using a wrench or spanner.

These can be obtained from most supermarkets and adapters can be bought so they will fit regulators for standard cylinders. The CO2 Refilling Adapter is used to safely refill cylinders from larger donor cylinders. It is designed to connect to either a CGA 320 or DIN 477 / W21.8 / BS 341 No. 8 donor cylinder, and then connect either directly or via a high pressure hose to the recipient cylinder. These have special threads only produced by sodastream these are all the same connection except if you get the cylinders from New Zealand or Austrailia which are different from the rest of the world . The pin inside the adapter will depress the valve on the SodaStream cylinder to open the flow of gas. I'd a couple of small cylinders that I wanted to use as "receivers", or reservoirs of CO2 when the cylinder is shut off (I wont try and explain why I'm doing that here) so these repurposed cylinders and connectors will only see about 60PSI.

These include various sizes (1kg, 2kg, 5kg etc) and are available from places like BOC, Energas, Pub gas suppliers, Hydroponics shops etc. The high pressure corrugated hose consists from two ends (DN6). The inlet is equipped with pre-assembled cylinder valve adaptor according to national standard, outlet connection for DN6 has W21,8 for air gases and CO 2, W21,8LH for flammable gases. Corrugated hose is covered by stainless steel braid and safety line. The set is pressure leak tested. APPLICATION

The rest of the world use BS341 / DIN477 no.6 / JIS W21.8 these are all the same connection but have a different name depending which country you live in.
