About this deal

I live in Mississippi with my husband, son, and Bull Terrier, Xena. I love to hear from readers so if you connect with me on social media or meet me at a signing you can call me Nancy. There’s also the possibility that she did something awful –and maybe that’s why she’s afraid to remember her old life. Molly knows she wants Trent now, but the truth might destroy their love. I enjoy a mystery romance that has more to the mystery besides, “Will they or won’t they hook up?” type setting. To me if a book is labeled ‘mystery romance’ then the mystery should be something other than will the leading characters become a couple because we all know that in the end 99% of the time the leading couples do hook up and live happily ever after so how is that considered a mystery? I was instantly hooked on their story and fully invested from the prologue alone. This was a powerful and highly emotional second chance romance.

Shane is in his third year residency to becoming a pediatric cardiologist, following in his parent’s footsteps. After his best friend, Trent, was killed in a motorcycle accident he decided he needed a new start. He transferred his residency to a new hospital in a new state. This was the second person he has lost. The first was his high school girlfriend. She was in a car accident and he was told she died. His father found out that she wasn’t dead but in a coma. He was never able to see her and then on day she was gone and her family had moved away. Whitney has no memories prior to ten years ago. She is married with two kids. She doesn’t want to stay married but felt obligate because of her kids. Every time she thinks about being intimate with her husband she literally gets nauseated. She has always felt something was off and no one would tell her anything so she stopped asking questions. Joe is now in his final year of residency. He has lived through two tragedies - Whitney and his BFF Trent. He has become numb. I'm an indie author of sexy, contemporary romance. When I'm not writing, you can find me reading some form of romance or playing in the dirt and mud in my ATV.

More than just a memory: A healing experience

Working on creating a holiday memory book while outside can provide a more therapeutic experience. Allow yourself to be in a peaceful environment everytime you add to the book. Light a candle, turn on some music, make your book a safe space. Remember that it might be more enjoyable to do with other people. Arranging a scrapbooking party with family and friends not only gives you more motivation to work on the project, but it’s more meaningful to do it with the people you love.

I loved the fact that the little girl kept yearning for a family containing her real biological mom and dad but that she grows up and is smart enough to realise that that might not work. It takes a chance encounter for her to come face to face with Shane that starts to lift the amnesia she has been struggling with. Every family has their own traditions and ways to celebrate the holidays, some that have been passed down for generations. Making a list of the different traditions your family has and including it into your memory book can be a great way to get excited about the holidays. Write down your favorite thing about a tradition, how it started, and why it’s important to you. Paste pictures of your favorite decorations, and write down family recipes. Journaling for peace and calm Every day that I wake up I’m in a fog. Before ten years ago I feel like I didn’t exist. Everything I knew had been erased. Some days I wish I had bad memories because even those would be better than none at all. Instead, I feel like I’m a character in a storybook, merely acting a role. I don’t know why, but none of it feels real. That’s crazy, right? Still, I can’t shake the feeling that everyone is hiding something from me. Even the man that lies next to me at night feels like a stranger. I just want to feel like I belong in my own skin. I read this book in under 24 hours whilst running a house with 5 children, the the youngest being 10 months! I really enjoyed this story and loved they way it captured my imagination. I found myself imagining that I was in both Whitney's (Love's) position and Shane's and found I wanted to keep reading to find out the answers both Whitney & Shane were looking for.

Creating a holiday memory book tradition

These are questions Molly has as well. Nothing looks familiar to her although she has to admit Trent sparks feelings in her she hasn't had for a long time. She senses there as things he's not telling her about their past relationship but he's agreed to help her look into her parents deaths as well as the day they all disappeared. Whitney and Shane are soul mates, even if her eyes don’t see him, her mind can’t place him, her body recognizes his. Shane is not letting her go again after finding her. And if Whitney now has a family, a life made for her by her parents, and their lost time cannot be regained, Shane finds himself with a family of his own, that makes him fight even harder to save his loved ones from a crazy man. I don't want to say too much as it's always nice to go into a book completely blind, without 'knowing' the story. I find it makes a huge difference to how you read a book. Whilst not always happy this book managed to pull on my emotional heartstrings, humor and the maternal mother in me and I really felt for the characters and their despair, anger and confusion. Nancy has put together a great book and I really enjoyed it. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide.

This was one of the best second chance romances I've read in a long time. Loved everything about this book. Shane and Whitney's love was so beautiful and their connection was amazing to read about. This is the second book I have read by Kristen James and I enjoyed it much more than the other one (A Cowboy for Christmas). The characters were believable and the situation Molly found herself in was interesting. The story was not totally unique but it did hold my attention to the end, I really wanted to know what had happened to make Molly and her family up and leave town so suddenly four years ago-It had to be a good reason to make her leave a man like Trent! Not only does he know her, Trent takes on her case and promises to do everything he can to solve it. He wants to know why she left town, with her parents, but without a word to anyone. She doesn’t remember that life. She can only tell him she knew her parents briefly before they died . . . or were murdered, she’s not sure. She hopes regaining her memory will help answer that question. Another fantastic book. This duet is fantastic. This book follows the older brother Shane to Shawn from the first book. Als wäre es nicht genug, dass die Beiden sich wieder gefunden haben und die Wahrheit rausgefunden haben.
