When it comes to longevity, on me, this lasts all day, just like Thierry Mugler's A*Men, which is actually what I'm looking for. If I were to describe this, I would say Man in Black is a beautiful spicy floral fragrance of eternal longevity and powerful silage. It feels always strange finding this one standing together with the other designers in the rare occurence of a nerd like me visiting the designer counter. The "rubberiness" of the opening is really more so the way the Bvlgari house tea note was amped up in the top of the scent, as it's a very dark black tea note (surprise), that usually anchors tea-centric scents with a heavy dollop of something like dry tonka to boot. In the base, a liquefied, ambery combination of benzoin, tonka bean and guaiac wood prove their irresistible allure.It's really amazing to have a man's fragrance with so much creamy tuberose, and that soft animalic leather vibe fits in perfectly. For the old man comments, keep in mind i’m 16 and i’m getting compliments by multiple different age groups around me which honestly proves how versatile this really is age wise and how much of a pleasant scent it becomes in the air.
