About this deal

I’m starting to understand that maybe life isn’t something to get through with the least amount of discomfort possible. Maybe it’s about experiencing it all. The good, the bad, and everything in between.”

Lucian and Sloane. Yeah. They get their own bullet. OMG THE TENSION 🔥 was just as 😮‍💨 as that of Lina and Nash! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. Not me looking forward to seeing side characters that haven't gotten their book yet👀. JEEEZUS... I know that their book is going to be 🔥🔥. I couldn’t help but highlight some of their interactions. It’s going to be LITTTTT (yeah. I know. It’s a trite expression, but I don’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣) Lina is fighting her own demons. Her own trauma erected walls around her life so that she remained firmly in control of things, but those walls ended up shutting out all the good relationships that could’ve blossomed, leaving Lina feeling lonely while clinging to her independence. It’s a struggle for her to let go of her control to let anyone in, let anyone touch her (both physically and emotionally), which becomes impossible when she moves next door to Nash. Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his rear end . . .Willkommensgutschein zur Erstanmeldung (gilt nicht für preisgebundene Ware) Rechtliche Hinweise Rechtliche Hinweise

Maybe he’s here to have sex with you. Like some kind of dark sexy fairy granting dirty wishes,” I teased. I noticed Knox didn’t bother greeting Lucian when he joined him. Looked like the pissed-off-ness was contagious. “I’d rather go to the gynecologist and the dentist on the same day,” Sloane said. And there was only a very tiny third act break up--as in it lasted like two minutes for them before they make up!! Hallelujah rejoice. So neither one did anything extremely stupid to cause some massive issue. Its so nice to read books where there aren’t ten chapters devoted to a breakup you know is going to get resolved and is just difficult to read. This book doesn't have that, and its amazing. Okay so I read the first book and I had a pretty passionate review about it. My main qualm was these are adult characters acting like children (handling relationships and emotional drama very poorly). Well a year later I decided to read the second book because I was actually honestly curious how Nash and Lina would get together. I think a couple things that made this book better for me: Score already had me panting for Lucian’s story after book one, but OMG do I absolutely need it after this one. I cannot wait! And it’s coming…September 5: Things We Left Behind!Ein bisschen was hat für mich noch gefehlt, damit es ein richtiges Highlight geworden wäre, aber ich hätte echt nicht gedacht, dass mir dieser zweite Band so gut gefallen würde und bin nun doch sehr gespannt, ob Lucian und Sloane das noch toppen können! nash morgan was the town's 'do good' police chief/golden boy who dreamed of getting married and having kids one day. but after the events in twngo, he's a shell of his former self. he doesn't feel much of anything until he sees that his new neighbor is his brother's mysterious ex, lina. lina runs from commitment at all costs but even she can't deny her attraction to nash no matter how wrong for each other they are. but, they might not even get their chance to make bad choices when loose ends from the past start haunting them again. Ich fand den zweiten Band um Längen besser als den Auftakt und bin jetzt sogar gespannt, ob Band 3 das noch toppen kann! So as mentioned above, I will carry on with my everlasting hunt for a 5 star Lucy Score book. I have read 7 of her books at this point and have finished each (except for one) with the same "great but not excellent" feeling. So when I finished this, I really tried to think about why none of her books have been "perfect" yet all (except for one) have been "very good."

Lucien was the man we had all waited on , or at least I had and so so worth the wait , it wasn’t just for the woman that had him firmly denying he had any thoughts or feelings about but his memories of the life he thought he had firmly left behind , which included” that woman” Sloan. But when Nash discovers Lina's secret these friends become furious enemies - though the sparks flying between them don't know the difference between love and hate. i came here for the luciansloane crumbs and i was not disappointed at all, especially after that bonus epilogue!!! You’re gonna open your mouth for me.” “Excuse me?” I was going for haughty but it came out breathy. He dipped his head, drawing me even closer. “And I’m gonna kiss you.” “You can’t just expect—” But the man did expect. And damned if I didn’t open my mouth the second his lips hit mine.i'm always a little dubious of a second book when i absolutely loved the first one but i loved this book and these characters so so so much. You make me feel things. And after going long enough without feeling anything, feeling something--even if its anger or adrenaline--is better than the nothing." Nash says this, but it honestly could apply to both Nash and Lina.

Nash is, at heart, just an absolute sweetheart who's going through a tough time. I loved how he fell first and just went head over heels when it came to Lina. We do get a ton of all the side characters, which made me so happy because we get alllll setup for Lucian and Sloane's romance, which is coming next. I CANNOT WAIT! I know I'm going to be so sad when it's here and I'll have to let go of these town and characters. Lina was his perfect match. She was kind of a badass, she had so many layers to her, making her the perfect person for Nash. I recommend this book for its amazing writing and story but it’s a definitely must-read for fans of small-town romance, romance books with mental illness themes and wounded heroes. Both of these characters go through so much during the story. Nash, he’s dealing with the aftermath of being shot along with having to try and retain a somewhat normal life. Lina, she’s working on an undercover mission involving someone who hurt Nash and dealing with the effects of a near-death experience from childhood. you run, I catch 😈. Gahhhh! I looove this in books (and movies too). Lina can try running from Nash, but he’s gonna go after her. Two of the most pivotal moments in the book had Nash chasing Lina, and she could only submit 🤷🏻‍♀️. I mean. Nash is VERY convincing 💁🏻‍♀️. He can convince me any time 😉🔥👀On a list of anticipated releases, Lucy Score is always high on the list, and in 2023, I’m sure all of us have been waiting for Things We Hide From The Light. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait much longer for the release as it’s finally release day. Ich hatte keine hohen Erwartungen an "Things We Hide From the Light" von Lucy Score, da mich hier der Klappentext im Vergleich zu den anderen Bänden am wenigsten angesprochen hat. But once Nash decides to make Lina his, he’s not about to be dissuaded…even if it means facing the danger that nearly ended him. Things We Hide From the Light: My Review Like I mentioned, I ended up loving Nash and Lina, and I loved them together. Nash is having a hard time recovering from his gunshot wounds, being the natural protector that he is. He wants to keep everyone safe, and he’s doubting himself because he couldn’t even keep himself safe. He wears the weight of the world on his shoulders and wants to do the right thing for everyone, but especially for his family and his community.
