While the Alesis Strike MultiPad has extensive sampling capabilities for you to record and create, it also comes with many samples and loops built-in. The Alesis Strike MultiPad percussion pad features a sampler and looper making it a fantastic tool for modern drummers and percussionists. Invaluable Tool for The Modern Drummer RoundRobin - Each successive hit alternated between layer A and layer B. When one layer is set to RoundRobin, the other layer will also be set to RoundRobin automatically. If one layer is changed from the RoundRobin mode, the other will default to OneShot (mono). Adding to the already incredible experience of using the Alesis Strike MultiPad, the v1.3 Firmware Update brings some great new features.

The Alesis Strike MultiPad also comes with ProTools | First – a complete DAW that gives you the essentials of the world-famous ProTools software. New Sample Manager, Kit Saving Options and Metronome enhancements make Strike MultiPad the most versatile and capable performance pad on the market.

Upon loading the unit up, you’ll find 30 preset loaded kits available to choose from and 70 empty user kits for you to customize. However, the SPD-SX benefits from excellent velocity-sensitive pads and two external drum trigger inputs. This lets you incorporate the kit into an acoustic setup and spread your samples over more than nine slots. It’s very clear and is large enough to display a great deal of information without feeling overwhelming. Navigating the menus and editing samples is no problem. Storage Right off the bat, I was very impressed at the cool factor given off by the Strike MultiPad. It looks far better than its predecessor. Roland have been in the electronic drum game for years. They’re reliable with firmware updates and keep their products performing at their best. This includes the corresponding Wave Manager PC software, making it extremely easy to import, assign, edit and organise samples. And as the SPD-SX has been around longer than the Strike, it’s recognised by loads of DAWs for simple integration.For anyone having crosstalk issues: pro tip - just install the latest firmware update. I've heard of people returning the Multipad because of it, when the solution is SO simple! Anyway, it's been great for 8 months that I've used it. Internal sounds are great, rgb lighting and display - all top notch! I'm really happy with it In addition to all the great features mentioned thus far, the unit also functions as an audio interface ( 2in/2out).
